Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy, also commonly known as SASTRA University, is a private and deemed university located in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. SASTRA University was the first-ever institution to get the status of a deemed university in Tamil Nadu. SASTRA was conferred Deemed-to-be-university status in 2001 by the UGC. Courses like B.Tech, B.Sc., B.Com, M.Tech, and MBA are among those available for admission to SASTRA University.
