SASTRA University Admission 2025: Dates, Online Process, Registration & Eligibility

SASTRA University admission for the academic year 2025 will begin soon. For those interested in pursuing B.Tech, JEE Main 2025 scores are required and the registration process is expected to start in November 2024. M.Tech applicants will need to qualify in GATE 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. SASTRA University admission 2025 for MBA courses will take CAT 2024 scores into consideration. The registration is currently ongoing, and the last date to apply is September 20, 2024. The exam will take place on November 24, 2024. Candidates applying for other undergraduate courses at SASTRA University, such as B.Sc and B.Com, need to appear for CUET UG 2025, which is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in May 2025. For intergrated law courses such BBA LLB and BA LLB, CLAT 2025 registrations are now open. Candidates can apply for the exam until October 15, 2024.

SASTRA University admission is offered to a wide range of courses, including B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech, integrated law courses, and other UG and PG degrees. For B.Tech admissions, the selection is based on class 12 marks as well as JEE Main scores. MBA candidates are evaluated through entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT, or AIMCAT, alongside academic performance and interviews. For M.Tech, undergraduate degree scores and GATE scores are taken into consideration as per SASTRA University admission process. Integrated law programs such as BA LLB, B.Com LLB, and BBA LLB require CLAT scores and class 12 marks for selection. For other UG courses like B.Sc and B.Com, and PG courses such as M.Sc admissions are based on CUET UG and CUET PG scores, along with qualifying exam marks. 

SASTRA University B.Tech Eligibility

SASTRA University BTech admissions are conducted on the basis of merit in class 12. JEE Main scores are also considered while shortlisting the candidate during the admission process. Registrations for JEE Main 2025 session 1 will tentatively begin on November 2024. To be eligible for SASTRA University admissions to B.Tech courses, candidates must have passed class 12 with atleast 60% marks with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.

SASTRA University BTech Admission Process

The SASTRA University admission procedure for B.Tech courses is divided into two streams for students with or without JEE Main scores. The admissions process is as follows:

Stream 1: JEE Main Score and Class 12 Marks

• As per SASTRA University admission, 50% of the total seats are allocated through this stream.
• Students are evaluated based on both their JEE Main score and class 12 marks.
• Equal weightage is given to both JEE Main scores and class 12 marks.
• Candidates have to submit the SASTRA BTech application form with all the required details such as previous academic marks and entrance exam scores.
• A rank list is prepared based on the combined score calculated from these two components. SASTRA University admissions are offered according to the ranks in this list.
• Students with higher ranks in this combined list are given priority in seat allotment.

Stream 2: class 12 Marks Only

• According to SASTRA University admission criteria for BTech, the remaining 50% of seats are filled under this stream. Only class 12 marks are considered in this stream.
• A rank list is prepared based purely on class 12 scores, and seats are allotted according to the ranks secured.

For SASTRA University admission, all applicants are automatically considered for both streams. Candidates must note that appearing for JEE Main is optional, and students can get admission based only on their class 12 performance. 

SASTRA University MBA Eligibility

For SASTRA University MBA admissions, candidates have to appear and obtain valid scores in any one of the entrance exam - CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT, or AIMCAT. Merit in class 12 is also considered while making the rank list for shortlisting eligible candidates. As per SASTRA University eligibility criteria, candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks. As per the latest notification, CAT 2024 examination will held on November 24, 2024.

SASTRA University MBA Admission Process

Below is the detailed stepwise SASTRA University admission procedure for MBA:

• Candidates need to submit their SASTRA University application form. The application must include details of the qualifying degree and entrance exam scores.
• SASTRA University admission is based partly on scores from relevant entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT, or AIMCAT.
• Students with good scores in these exams are given preference during the selection process.
• Along with entrance exam scores, the candidate's academic performance in their qualifying examination is also considered.

SASTRA University M.Tech Eligibility

SASTRA University admission process for M.Tech requires candidates to have valid scores in GATE. One must also have a B.Tech degree with atleast 60% marks. Registration process for GATE 2025 has concluded and the exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. A rank list will be prepared for the SASTRA University admissions based on candidates academic merit and entrance exam scores.

SASTRA University MTech Admission Process

The SASTRA University admission procedure for M.Tech programmes is given below stepwise:

• Candidates must first fill out and submit their SASTRA University application form for M.Tech. 
• SASTRA University admission procedure is based on the scores obtained in the qualifying examination as well as GATE.
• Applicants are evaluated based on their academic performance, and a merit list is prepared accordingly.
• Candidates who have qualified for GATE are given more preference.
• GATE-qualified students are eligible for a 50% waiver on their tuition fees. In addition to the fee waiver, GATE-qualified students also receive a stipend during their course at SASTRA University.
• After the merit list is finalised, successful candidates participate in the counselling process and further steps for completing the SASTRA University admission.

SASTRA University Integrated Law Courses Eligibility

SASTRA University admissions to integrated law courses such as BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LBB are conducted on the basis of previous academic merit as well as CLAT scores. Registrations for CLAT 2025 are currently ongoing. Candidates can register themselves by October 15, 2024. According to SASTRA University admission criteria, candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks.

SASTRA University Intregrated Law Admission Process

The SASTRA University admission procedure for 5-Year Integrated LLB (Honours) such as BA LLB, B.Com LLB, and BBA LLB is based on CLAT scores and class 12 marks. Below is the detailed admission process:

• Candidates have to first submit their application for SASTRA University admission. 
• 25% weightage is given to the candidate’s CLAT scores during the SASTRA University admission process.
• The remaining 75% weightage is based on marks scored in the class 12 board examination.
• A combined score is calculated based on the ratio of 25% for CLAT scores and 75% for class 12 aggregate marks.

SASTRA University admissions to rest of the UG courses is done on the basis of CUET UG scores. Candidates must appear and secure qualifying marks in the exam to be eligible. A pass in class 12 with a minimum of 50% is also mandatory to apply for UG courses such as B.Sc and B.Com. SASTRA University UG Admission Process

For undergraduate programmes such as B.Sc and B.Com, the SASTRA University admission procedure is as follows:

• Applicants have to fill out and submit their SASTRA University application for the UG course of their choice.
• The CUET UG scores and marks obtained in the qualifying examination are considered for admissions at SASTRA University.
• SASTRA University admission is based on a combination of CUET UG scores and qualifying exam marks.
• A rank list is prepared by considering both CUET UG scores and qualifying exam marks.
• Seats are allocated based on the ranks secured in the merit list for SASTRA University admission.

SASTRA University PG Courses Eligibility

SASTRA University admission to the PG courses like M.Sc is based on CUET PG and graduation marks. To be eligible candidates must have qualifying marks in graduation as well as in CUET PG. The university will shortlist candidates by preparing a rank list based on the combined scores of academic merit and entrance exam scores.

SASTRA University PG Admission Process

SASTRA University admission for postgraduate programmes such as M.Sc, involves the following steps:

• Candidates have to first fill out the SASTRA University admissions form for PG courses. 
• Next candidates have to appear for CUET PG and obtain valid marks.
• The CUET PG scores and qualifying exam marks are considered to shortlist candidates for SASTRA University admission.

SASTRA University Application Process

SASTRA University application process for UG and PG courses is as follows:

1. Visit the official SASTRA University admission portal.
2. Create an account using your email address and set a password. If already registered, log in with your credentials.
3. Complete the SASTRA University online application form by entering personal details, academic qualifications, and program preferences.
4. For UG and PG courses, provide details of class 12 marks, undergraduate marks, and entrance exam scores.

SASTRA University Cutoff 2024

SASTRA University admissions to MBA are be done on the basis of marks obtained in entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, AIMAT, CMAT, or AIMCAT. Candidates appearing for CAT must note that MBA admissions in 2025 will be based on CAT 2024 scores. The exam will be conducted on November 24, 2024. The CAT cutoff percentile for SASTRA University admissions will be released once the results are announced. The expected SASTRA University cutoff for MBA is around 60 to 70 percentile.
