The college has an air conditioned computerized.The college has an air conditioned computerized open access library with a collection of about 38,000 books apart from various journals, magazines and news papers. The General Library has internet facilities for the students. In addition there is a Seminar Library in each Honours department for ready access to books. A Book Bank facility is also available for the underprivileged students of the college.
General Library: The rapid evolution of information and communication technology in the learning field imposes and stimulates the re-engineering of the library. Our library has changed in past few years and ever new ways of creating, storing, organizing, and providing information have been evolved.. The library remains responsible for acquiring or providing access to books, periodicals and other media that meet the educational and informational needs of its users in a stimulating, scholarly environment conducive to academic pursuits.

The Student’s Council organizes talent shows, cultural programmes, Freshers’ Welcome, Final Year Farewell and other programmes of common interest. The Students’ Council is also involved in collection of funds for voluntary organizations in times of need.

The college has one NSS unit. National Service Scheme (NSS) is a students’ empowerment programme through campus community interaction. The main purpose of NSS is to educate the students about social realties and to inculcate in them the spirit of social service and concern for the well-being of the community. Students are expected to voluntarily participate in the NSS programme.
The nonprofit National Entrepreneurship Network was established in 2003 .NEN provides resources to academic institutions to build and manage Entrepreneurship Education infrastructure and programs for students. Shri Shikshayatan College has a student lead E Cell/Club.
The Women’s Forum, as a body in Shri Shikshayatan College was initiated in the academic session 2008-2009 keeping in mind this incessant mission of addressing women’s issues. Women’s Forum publishes an annual Journal called ‘Women Talk’.
Students are encouraged to take up chess under the guidance of the chess instructor.
Shri Shikshayatan College collaborates with Lake Club to offer rowing facilities to its students. Orientation lecture on rowing was given to students to inspire them to take up rowing as a sport
