Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2002 and is located in Tumakuru City. Tumakuru is one of the district HQ of Karnataka. The campus is spread over natural landscape of 70 Acres. The site is very healthy and beautiful & being away from city atmosphere is free from pollution. The city is located at 63 Km from Bengaluru, The Capital City of Karnataka State. The nearest airport is Bengaluru International Airport. The college is situated on Tumakuru – Mumbai Highway 5 Km from railway station, 4 Km from KSRTC Bus stand.

The hostel complex accommodates more than 1300 students. Two independent blocks are provided for boys and girls. The hostels premise encompasses a beautiful garden. Each hostel has a resident rector to maintain the discipline. Hostel rooms are specious and nicely ventilated. A new ladies hostel is under construction.

The hostels have excellent boarding facilities on expenditure sharing basis. Utmost care is taken to provide hygienic delicious food and water. Strict discipline is maintained in the hostel. There are facilities for Indoor games. The hostels have round the clock generator facility.

The hostel is managed by a resident warden. Every inmate is to conduct himself / herself as per rules and regulations of the Institution. Hostel in timings for girls 6:30 pm & Boys 10:00 pm.

Hostel Mess: A canteen is situated in the premises of the Institution and sufficient care is taken to see that healthy and wholesome food is served during working hours.

The institute has NSS unit of 100 volunteers strength headed by the programme officer in which students are motivated and oriented to work towards social services like blood donation camp, plantation programmes, health awareness camps, literacy awareness camp, etc. It also conducts a 7 days special camp where the students are participated zealously with great success.
