For the 2026-27 academic year, admissions for the M.Sc. in Wine, Brewing, and Alcohol Technology at VSI Pune are expected to open in April 2026, with an application deadline typically falling in late June. Out of the total 24 available seats, there is no specific quota dedicated solely to Karnataka; rather, students from Karnataka compete under the Other Than Maharashtra State (OMS) category, which generally accounts for approximately 15% of the intake (roughly 3 to 4 seats).

Admission for OMS candidates is strictly merit-based and usually carries a higher tuition fee, which is approximately INR 1,82,500 per year.
