VIT Vellore B. Tech. Mechanical Engineering Eligibility Criteria

To pursue a B.Tech. degree at Vellore Institute of Technology Vellore, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria. They should have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Additionally, candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 60% in these subjects. For SC/ST and North Eastern State candidates, the minimum aggregate score requirement is reduced to 50%. Moreover, candidates must have a valid score in VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) or any other recognized engineering entrance examination. Fulfilling these criteria will enable aspiring students to embark on their journey towards a B.Tech. degree at Vellore Institute of Technology Vellore.

Overall: Not long ago, I was in your place thinking which college I have to choose. Every college has its ups and downs but VIT gets you every opportunity you are in search of. Top 10 in NIRF rankings, this college gets you the best in terms of placements as well

Placement: A renown college has its upper cuts in lots of phases. Similar is the case with VIT when it comes to placements. If you’re a person who has maintained a 9+ CGPA and you’re in CSE, your placement is guaranteed. You’ll get a good placement of your in mechanical engineering and your CGPA is above 8.6-8.7

Infrastructure: The campus is huge and your step count will be above 10k every single day for sure so your daily cardio will be taken care of. Every building has a water cooler and shuttles ply from one building to another. Irrespective of the distance you can travel anywhere in the college just for 15 Rupees

Faculty: All teachers here are either MSc, MTech and most of them are PhD. Teachers are helpful, some teachers maybe blacklisted, so stay away from them. All in all faculty is good and they upload good notes on the official VTOP website.

Hostel: The men’s hostel in VIT are a blessing. From2 sharing all the way upto 8 sharing, AC OR NON-AC, completely your choice. But when it comes to vellore, you need an AC room too. Common bathrooms on every floor, pretty clean and every fooor has 2 water coolers. Internet connection is also pretty decent
