VIT is unique among Mumbai's educational institutions in that it was founded by the Vidyalankar Dyanapeeth Trust, an organisation with a long history in education. Prof. C.S. Deshpande established the trust. In 1960, he began tutoring kids in a small classroom in Dadar, Mumbai, where he still lives today. BE programs should include the following:

• Candidates should first go to the MHT CET website.
• To finish the registration procedure, applicants must fill in all essential information and create a password.
• If the registration is successful, an email will be issued verifying the registration procedure.
• Candidates can then use the Application Number and password to access their MHT CET account in the future.
• After that, the candidate must provide scanned copies of his or her passport photo and signature. Only .jpg/.jpeg files are accepted.
• Only the online payment channels are available to pay the Rs 800 application fee. No other method of fee payment is accepted by the MHT CET board.
• Candidates must then save and print the whole application form as well as the payment receipt sheet for future reference.
• On the specified day, students must also download the Admit Card.

• For online application submission, candidates must go to the DTE website at www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.
• The application cost can be paid online using a variety of payment methods.
