Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras invites applications for admission to Master of Science (M.S) by research and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) under regular full time [with/without Half-time Teaching Research Assistantship (HTRA)] and part-time/external program in the departments of Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Studies, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Physics for the session July-November sessions 2016.
How to Apply:
For Ph.D. in Engineering Program:
Candidates with M.E/M.Tech or a Master’s degree by Research in engineering/technology with a good academic record.
Candidates with master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and of exceptional merit with eligibility for the relevant Engineering discipline and with a valid Gate score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM/Inspire or equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply.
For Ph.D. in Science Program: Candidates should have:
Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and having a valid GATE score / UGCJRF or NET / CSIR-JRF / INSPIRE / NBHM or equivalent qualification.
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record.
For M.S in Engineering Program: Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology with valid GATE score or a Master’s degree in appropriate Sciences/Management where eligible with a good academic record and a valid GATE score or CAT/AIMA or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply.
