The summer placements of Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode for the academic session 2016 has completed. A total number of 364 students have bagged jobs in the recruitment process out of which nearly half of the students secured placement in Sales and Marketing roles. This year, the number of companies that participated in the placement drive increased considerably.
A total number of 119 companies took part in the placement drive. Some of the prominent companies are:-
- Boston Consulting Group
- JP Morgan Chase
- Sun Pharma

This year, the highest package offered was Rs. 2.5 lakh per month ie. around 30 lakhs per annum. Some students were also offered jobs in international locations across various sectors. Most of the students chose roles in the field of Digital Marketing, Media Analytics, Research and Development.
Kulbhushan Balooni, Director of IIM-K, said that the 20th batch of the institute was the biggest till date and the placement season saw a faster closure indicating the faith displayed by recruiters in the quality of students. He revealed that Sales and Marketing saw the highest number of recruiters with 45 percent of the batch opting for it.
