For the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University course admissions, the CUET UG 2023 registration has been extended to March 30, 2023. Simultaneously, various entrance examinations accepted by the university are currently being held on different dates. The last date to register for the same has recently been extended to March 30, 2023. The CUET exam for UG courses will be held from May 21, 2023, to May 31, 2023. Further, the CMAT registrations for the MBA admission closed on March 6, 2023. The expected date of the CMAT exam is March 26, 2023, however, NTA is yet to release the final date. The CAT 2022 result will also be applicable for the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University MBA admission for the 2023 session. The results for the same were announced on December 21, 2022. The application process of the university can be held in an online as well as offline mode. For the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University course admissions to courses like B.Tech, B.Voc, Integrated MCA, BBA, and BA (H) Arabic, students will also have to register for the CUET UG exam. The Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University offers scholarships that fall under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) scheme. Every year, AICTE offers various concessions and scholarships to candidates enrolled in its approved institutions. Aspiring students must note that to avail of such schemes, they must apply online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and not through the BGSBU scholarship portal.  At present, two scholarships are offered by the council. These are the “Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students” and the “Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students”. The details of both the schemes are as follows:

AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students

• All the female students taking admission in the first year of a diploma/degree course or the second year through the lateral entry and who meet the eligibility criteria can apply. 
• A maximum of 2 girls per family can apply for this scholarship.
• The family income of the students should not exceed Rs 8 lakh per annum. In the case of female candidates who are married, the income of the parents or the inlaws whichever is higher will be taken into consideration.
• Selection of students for this BGSBU scholarship will be based on merit in the qualifying exam.
• A total of 4000 scholarships will be awarded to students out of which 2000 will be awarded to the degree courses students and 2000 will be awarded to the diploma courses students.
• A tuition fee amount of Rs 30,000 or the actual tuition fee whichever is less, will be provided to the selected students. 
• For 10 months, Rs 2,000 will be provided as incidental expenses.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students

• This scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Education. It is being implemented in all the AICTE-approved institutions across the country. 
• An amount of Rs 50,000 per annum as a lump sum amount is provided as part of this scheme to specially-abled students. This amount is for the payment of tuition fees, the purchase of computers and books, and other study equipment.
• To apply for this scheme, candidates will have to apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). 
• Only the students who are admitted in the first year of a degree or diploma course or to the second year of a degree or diploma course through lateral entry are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
• The total family income of the student applying must be below Rs 8 lakh per annum to apply for this scheme. 
• No additional grants in the name of hostel charges, medical charges, etc. will be paid.
