Millikin University is a private university located in Decatur, Illinois. It was founded in 1901 by prominent Decatur businessman James Millikin and is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Millikin University's positioning in the 2020 version of Best Colleges is Regional Colleges Midwest is #10 by the US News and World Report.

Infrastructure, Campus, and Courses

Millikin's Campus Size is about 75 acres. Also, Millikin University provides a number of student services, which include nonremedial tutoring, placement service, health service. The most popular majors at Millikin University include Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Visual and Performing Arts; Health Professions and Related Programs; Education; and Parks, Recreation, Leisure, and Fitness Studies.

Accomplishments & Alumni

Millikin is part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and students participate in 23 Division III athletic teams, as well as junior varsity and intramural sports. Nearly 50% of Millikin students are involved in athletics at some time during their four years. In 2005, Millikin's women's basketball team won the Division III National Championship title. A portion of its remarkable graduate class is Jodi Benson, Sierra Boggess, Matthew West, Annie Wersching, Thomas W. Ewing, Jeff Query, Douglas R. Oberhelman and some more.

As of 2019, Millikin has enrolled a record of 116 total international students from 35 countries, up from 95 international students last year. This proves that the university is quite open and welcoming towards international students. In 2016, 99% of graduates received job placements and higher education opportunities within six months. Top hirers include AT&T, General Motors, CVS Health, Ford, UnitedHealth Group, ExxonMobil and so on.
