ISC Class 12 Physics Exam 2026 Repeated Questions

ISC Class 12 Physics Exam 2026 Repeated Questions have their own advantage. Slowly studying through the syllabus and then picking up these repeated questions will immensely help you with revision. Understanding the format in which the questions are presented will act as a boon during the exam. You will learn about the important topics from which the questions are usually asked through these repeated questions. During revision, however, it is not mandatory but absolutely necessary to go through the ISC Class 12 Physics Previous Year Question Paper, which will again help you to identify the repeated questions along with providing a better understanding of the pattern of the paper and weightage of marks. Since there are absolutely no changes made to the curriculum by CISCE in Physics, you can also use old question banks for increased practice. For your reference, below we have compiled some important ISC Class 12 Physics Exam 2026 Repeated Questions. Do not forget to answer these questions and help yourself.

ISC Class 12 Physics Exam 2026 Repeated Questions

With a total of 9 units included in the ISC Class 12 Physics Syllabus 2025-26, Physics becomes one of the most difficult subjects to master for ISC 12th. The theory paper will be conducted for 70 marks, and 30 marks are allotted for a practical. The practical paper will also be conducted with the syllabus prescribed on the official PDF. Check some repeated questions below to ease your exam anxiety:

Question 1: Two long wires carrying current are kept crossed (not joined at). The locus where the magnetic field is zero is -

Question 2: A long straight wire in the horizontal plane carries a current of 50A in the north to south direction. Give the magnitude and direction of →B at a point 2.5m east of the wire.

Question 3: Charges -q, Q, and -q are placed at an equal distance on a straight line. If the total potential energy of the system of three charges is zero, then find the ratio Q and q.

Question 4. A series LCR circuit is connected to an AC source of 220V, 50 Hz. The circuit contains a resistance R = 80 Ω, an inductor of inductive reactance Xl = 70 Ω, and a capacitor of capacitive reactance XC = 130 Ω. The power factor of the circuit is x/10. The value of x is:

Question 5. A Proton and an electron are roaming freely in an electric field. Which of the particles will have greater acceleration, and why?

Question 6. An infinite line charge produces a field of 9 X 104 N/C at a distance of 2 cm. Calculate the linear charge density.

Question 7. Prove that the kinetic energy of a charged particle accelerating through a potential difference, V, will be KE = qV.

Question 8. (a) Three equal charges of 5 µC each are placed at the three vertices of an equilateral triangle of side 5 cm. Calculate the electrostatic potential energy of the system of charges.

(b) A charge +q is placed at the origin O of the X-Y axis as shown in fig. Find the work done in taking a charge Q from A to B along the straight line AB.

Question 9. The distance between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor is d. A metal plate of thickness (d/2) is placed between the plates. What will be the effect on the capacitance?

Question 10. A uniform copper wire having a cross-sectional area of 1 mm² carries a current of 5 Amp. Calculate the drift speed of free electrons in it. (Free electron number density of copper = 2 x 1028/m³)

Question 11. The electrical mains in a house are marked 220V, 50Hz. Write down the equation for the instantaneous voltage.

Question 12. The angle of an equilateral glass prism is 59.5°. The angle of minimum deviation is 38.5°. Without using the value of the refractive index of the glass, calculate the angle of incidence for a ray of light suffering minimum deviation.

Question 13. The refractive index of the material of a concave lens is µ. The lens is immersed in a medium of refractive index μ₁ (μ₁ > μ). A parallel beam of light is incident on the lens. Draw a diagram to show the path of emergent rays.

Working through the repeated questions will help you understand the ISC Class 12 Physics Weightage 2026 more clearly. Do not forget to check your answers with the help of your teachers to assess your preparation level and also work on your weaknesses accordingly.
