Dear Student,

With an MHT CET 2025 percentile of 84.62, you have good chances of securing a seat in Information Technology (IT) at several private and mid-tier engineering colleges in Maharashtra, although admission to top government and highly competitive institutes like COEP Pune or VJTI Mumbai is unlikely. Colleges such as MIT-WPU Pune, PCCOE Pune, Sinhgad Institutes, Ajeenkya DY Patil, and D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology often admit students with percentiles around 80–90 for IT. To maximise admission chances, include a mix of these colleges and a few aspirational choices in your options, consider related branches like Computer Engineering or …

Dear Student,

With an MHT CET percentile of 61.68 in the SC category, it is highly unlikely that you will gain admission to Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, as the closing percentiles for SC candidates in core branches like Computer Science and IT are significantly higher, often above the 85 to 95 percentiles. Even for other engineering branches with relatively lower cutoffs, your percentile is below the usual admission threshold. Therefore, you should explore other private or regional colleges with lower cutoff requirements or use college prediction tools to find suitable options matching your category and score. We hope that …

Dewesh Nandan Prasad, Content Team

Dear Student,

You have secured Computer Science at PCCOE Ravet in the MHT CET CAP round 1 and are considering moving to PCCOE Akurdi or choosing I2IT for CS. PCCOE Akurdi is generally the preferred option due to its higher cutoffs, stronger placement record, better faculty, and overall reputation compared to both PCCOE Ravet and I2IT. While I2IT offers an industry-focused curriculum and notable company tie-ups, it is a newer and smaller institute with a less established campus environment. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to shift to PCCOE Akurdi, it is advisable to do so, as it offers better …
