According to the students who had qualified the IIM Kozhikode interview, the interviewers generally begin with a series of casual questions like personal introduction, work experience, their job roles, job switches, professional contribution during their work tenure, etc. These are followed by questions pertaining to basic Indian current affairs of the present time. Pranav Rathi recalls that he was asked about the developments that were going around Kozhikode at that time. There were many questions related to the work experience. You should be alert and keep ready for questions from within your answers. • The first common question usually asked is ‘Tell me about yourself’. The answer should be well-structured. Arya Ramakrishna narrates her experience. "I started with a brief introduction about my family, hometown, school, graduation, change in culture as I moved to a new place for the job, time management, how I dealt with competition in and out of workplace, finance management and what sets me apart from the crowd."
  • In the case of candidates with work experience, the questions were basically related to job switches, job hikes, job role, their contributions, company dynamics and so on.
  • Another common question that the candidates must prepare is ‘What do you expect to gain from MBA?’ or ‘Why choose MBA?’ The answer should have a deep relevance with the topic and has to be answered within a limited time-frame.
