IIM Kozhikode admission in PGP-M is based on CAT scores. The IIM Kozhikode selection process for the post-graduate programme in management is carried out in three stages. It includes candidate registration, followed by calculating the candidate’s aggregate index score (AIS) and final shortlisting of candidates based on CAT index score, PI score, WAT score and resume score.

Stage 1

• Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set for the course.
• Those candidates who have opted for IIM Kozhikode in their CAT application, need to register themselves for admission to IIM Kozhikode after receiving an email for registration.

IIM Kozhikode admission for PGP-LSM programme is done based CAT/GRE/GMAT scores. The admission process involves three stages - registration, shortlisting for WAI and PI and final shortlisting. The stages are explained in details below:

IIM Kozhikode PGP-BL admission process involves three stages. It begins with the registration of candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria, followed by the submission of personal statement. Lastly, it involves shortlisting candidates for the personal interaction round.

Stage 1

• It is the pre-interaction phase.
• Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria as well as meet the minimum cut off requirement are eligible for registration.

IIM Kozhikode admission process for the executive programmes is as follows:

Stage 1

• First and foremost, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set for the courses.
• Candidates need to register online for EMAT and fill out the IIM Kozhikode application form.
• Candidates for stage two will be shortlisted based on the information provided in the application

Stage 2

• In stage two of the admission process candidates need to appear for an Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT), followed by a personal interview.
• Candidates who have a valid score in GMAT/GRE are exempted from EMAT and can directly sit in the PI round.

CAT is one of the common entrance examinations that evaluate the student's eligibility to take admission in management courses at some of the top management institutes in India. It is also one of the toughest examinations with a high level of competition. Thus, students also look for entrance exams other than CAT that are accepted by the institutes. In the case of IIM Kozhikode, CAT is not compulsory for admission in courses like PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, PGP-BL, MBA (Kochi Campus), Executive Post Graduate Programme - Interactive Learning Mode (EPGP), and PhD in Management. Is CAT mandatory to take admission in IIM Kozhikode?

No, CAT is not mandatory to take admission in IIM Kozhikode. In the case of IIM Kozhikode admission in PGP-Finance, PGP-LSM, and PGP-BL programmes, candidates who have appeared and obtained a valid score in GMAT/GRE are exempted from appearing in CAT. Similarly, for IIM Kozhikode Executive MBA admission, students don't need to appear in CAT. Candidates must obtain a valid score in the GMAT/GRE or apply, appear and qualify the EMAT, conducted by the institute itself. A work experience of three years or more is also mandatory. Candidates looking forward to IIM Kozhikode admissions 2024, those with a valid score in any one of the following - GATE, GMAT, GRE, IIMB Test, UGC-NET or UGC-JRF (in management, economics and commerce only) will be granted admission in IIMK PhD in Management.

Admission at IIM Kozhikode without CAT

In the case of IIM Kozhikode admission to postgraduate programmes, except for PGP in Management, candidates get the opportunity to take admission in IIMK without appearing for CAT. A valid score in the GMAT/GRE is considered. In the case of IIM Kozhikode courses admission in MBA (Kochi Campus) and Executive Post Graduate Programme - Interactive Learning Mode (EPGP), the institute conducts its own entrance examination EMAT.

IIM Kozhikode Admission Process Based on EMAT

• In the first stage of the admission process, candidates need to submit the IIM Kozhikode application form along with relevant documents.
• Next, candidates will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria for the next stage.

Courses offered at IIM Kozhikode are divided into two groups- academic and executive programmes. IIM Kozhikode offers only postgraduate and doctoral programmes. However, candidates who are willing to take admission in the BBA programme in any other IIMs can go through the below-mentioned details:
