Admission Process

For Admission in PGPM

IIM Tiruchirapalli is one of the new IIMs and has made quite a name for itself in its few years of operations. From a remarkable curriculum to excellent placements, IIM Tiruchirapalli is not counted amongst the top IIMs in India. The admission procedure of this institute is more or less the same as the selection criteria of IIMs after CAT.

In order to apply for the institute, you will have to appear for the CAT exam. Since IIM Tiruchirapalli is one of the most reputed Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) you will need to prepare for CAT thoroughly as the students shortlisted for admission have quite high percentiles. Another thing that factors during admissions apart from CAT score is the reservation policy and the number of seats at IIMs.

Like other IIMs, IIM Tiruchirapalli also shortlists students on the basis of CAT score along with candidate’s performance at various academic levels. Work experience is also evaluated in case the candidates have a work history. There are various levels of selection and the first level is the CAT score screening. Shortlisted candidates are called for the next level of selection process i.e. Writing Analysis Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

IIM Tiruchirapalli offers two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) and Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM). For P.G.P.B.M there is a Separate written test. Candidates having a valid test score of CAT or GMAT are exempted from the Written Test. However, they may choose to appear for written test.
