Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (Obstetrics or gynecology) 

The aim of starting this course at the university was to reduce the pain, blood loss, time of surgery, etc. For surgeries in Gynecology, the surgeon uses an open method which includes those disadvantages. Through Endoscopic Surgery or Minimal Access Surgery, the disadvantages can be overcome. The fellowship program at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Minimal Access Surgery (ob/GYN) comes with skill development, practice, and knowledge development about basic and advanced procedures of endoscopy and minimally invasive therapy, performing safe and secure laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, etc. 

The eligibility criteria for the course are-

Fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery

There are many common congenital anomalies, but clefts are considered to be one of the most common. KIMS, Karad, offers a Fellowship course in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery to teach students about how to successfully perform treatment or surgery of the Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate. The course includes skill development and knowledge enhancement, Cranio-facial surgeries, Orthodontics, Speech, and Language Pathology, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, etc. The course also involves the development of research skills in genetics, surgical management, epidemiology, and etiopathogenesis of craniofacial and cleft anomalies. 

The eligibility criteria for admission in Fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, “Deemed to be University,” are listed below- 

> Applicants for fellowships must have successfully completed any of the following courses successfully-

- Master of Dental Surgery in  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in any college approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI).

- Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Maxillofacial Surgery from any institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).

- FDSRCS (or Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England) from the Royal College of Surgeons of ENT England, Edinburgh, or Glasgow. 

- FFDRCSI (Fellow, Faculty of Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. 

It takes one year to complete this course. In any academic year, only one student can take admission to the course. The fees for the course will be determined by the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. There will be an entrance examination at the university through which the selection of the candidates will take place.  

Fellowship in Microendodontics

Students taking admission in the course learn different topics like-

Only 1 student can take admission in the course to KIMS, Karad, in an academic year. The University conducts an entrance examination, and the selection procedure is based on that examination. 

Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine

The course is specially structured to provide students who have already done the MD/DNB in Anesthesia with a special skill development program on anesthetic management. There are specific eligibility criteria for this course. 

Students who are applying for the course Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences should have the eligibility criteria mentioned below-

> Applicants must be Indian by nationality. 

> Students have to do post MD/DNB in Anesthesia  

> Students who have passed previously from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, “Deemed to be University”, will be preferred in case of similar qualification.  

This is a course that is completed in one year. Unlike most of the other Fellowship Programs in KIMS, Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Anesthesia and perioperative medicine. Has an annual intake of 2. This course follows an "Open Door Admission Policy",  and the candidates for this program are chosen by a university-approved panel consisting of four members.

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology course in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad are-

Bachelor of Science in Nursing 

Admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing in the Krishna Institute in Medical Sciences requires specific criteria for eligibility. Below are the eligibility criteria for this course-

1. The candidate must be an Indian by nationality.

2. To be eligible for admission to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, candidates must be seventeen years old before the 31st of December of their academic year.

3. The candidate must pass the 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognized Board or any equivalent exam, like the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (12th standard examination of CBSE), Indian School Certificate Examination, etc. 

4. The applicant must score at least 45% in the aggregate of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in their Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or any equivalent examination. 

5. The university will conduct a CET examination, and students who want to secure admission in this course may appear in this examination. The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences will prepare the merit list for access to this course based on the score of the students in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry in that examination. 

The Student should have done 10+2.

1. The candidate must be an Indian by nationality.

2. Applicants must have completed 17 years of age by the end of the academic year when they secure admission to the University.

3. The candidate must pass the 10+2 qualifying examination from a recognized Board or any equivalent examination, like the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (12th standard examination of CBSE), Indian School Certificate Examination, etc.

1. The candidate willing to take admission in the M.B.B.S. course in the University must score at least 50% in the qualifying examination of 10+2 standard, in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. 

2. Moreover, the candidate should have passed individually in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English in the qualifying examination of 10+2. 

3. For students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, the aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology should be at least 40%. 4. Every student willing to be admitted to Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences should appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), conducted by NTA. 

5. For securing admission to the college, the students must qualify NEET. The cut-off percentile of NEET is 50th for general category students, 40th for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, and 45th for unreserved-PH students. 

6. For students who are Foreign Nationals, Non-resident Indians, or Persons of Indian Origin, qualification in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be treated as the eligibility norm.

3. Students will not be admitted to the Post Graduate Degree program unless they can work full time as Resident Students for the period applicable to their cases.

4. The MCI (Medical Council of India) has issued several rules and regulations applicable during the selection process at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences for an M.D. course. 

5. All students must appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG).

6. Students must qualify for NEET-PG with at least 50 percentile, which is the qualification score of NEET-PG. However, the Government of India has the right to change the cut-off for NEET-PG. 

7. The candidate must have permanent registration in the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council. If the student is not yet registered with the same while admission, they should obtain it within one month of entry. Otherwise, the authority of the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences will cancel their admission.

For an M.Sc. in Medical Physiology at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, students have to pass any of the following programs-

M. Sc. Ob/Gyn Nursing, M. Sc. Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing, M. Sc. Community Health Nursing, M. Sc. Medical-Surgical Nursing, M. Sc. Nurse Practitioner Critical Care, and M. Sc. Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing

1. The students must score at least 55% marks in aggregate in any of the final examinations of the following courses-

   1.  B.Sc. Nursing 

   2. B.Sc. Honors Nursing

   3. B. Sc Nursing (Basic)

2. Also, the students must complete 1 year of clinical or teaching experience after passing the finals of the courses mentioned above.

3.  For students who belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category, a relaxation of 5% will be given to the passing marks. 

4. Students will not be admitted to the post graduate degree program at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences unless they can work full time as Resident Students for the period applicable to their cases.

5. During the selection process, the University will apply rules and regulations issued by INC (Indian Nursing Council) and MNC (Maharashtra Nursing Council).

6. The University will apply the rules and regulations of the Indian Nursing Council to determine the number of students registered. The selection process will be based on academic merit strictly or according to the instruction of the Indian Nursing Council.

7. Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences will conduct the Krishna All India Entrance Test on either an All India basis or as per the regulations of the Indian Nursing Council. Students must appear in the test as their academic merit will be determined based on the students' performances in the admission test.
