TISS Mumbai Admissions 2023

Tata Institute of Social Sciences Admissions 2022: TISSNET 2023 results are out now. TISSNET 2023 result will be declared this week. TISSNET 2023 final answer key has been published. TISSNET 2023 was conducted on February 25, 2023. TISSNET 2023 admit card was released on February 16, 2023. By entering their email address and password, registered candidates can access tiss.edu to download their admit cards. On February 9, 2023, NTA began taking applications for the CUET UG exam. The CUET UG 2023 application must be received by March 12, 2023. The official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in, accepts online applications from interested candidates. The CUET undergraduate exam will be held from May 21 to May 31, 2023.

On October 15 and 17, 2022, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences will release the cutoff list of candidates shortlisted for interviews for Certification in Trauma Informed Care and Post Graduate Diploma in Trauma Focused Therapy, respectively. The list of selected candidates for the Certification in Trauma Informed Care and the PG Diploma in Trauma Focused Therapy will be released on November 19, 2022

TISS Mumbai admissions are offered to students at the diploma, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. TISS Mumbai admissions are available in the following fields: disaster management, law, hospital administration, development studies, library and information science, health care management, environmental studies, psychology, social work, human resource management, arts, and so on. MA, MPH, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.Phil, PhD, and other courses are available for admissions. 

Admission to postgraduate and doctoral courses at TISS Mumbai is entirely based on the candidates entrance exam scores, whereas admission to diploma courses is based on candidates' performance in the interview rounds. MA admissions are divided into two stages: the Tata Institute of Social Science National Entrance Test (TISSNET) and the TISS Online Assessment (OA).

TISS Mumbai Selection Process

TISSNET is a computer-based common entrance test administered by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences to students seeking admission to M.A. programmes at all of its campuses. Students will be shortlisted for stage 2 based on their TISSNET performance. The first stage is the shortlisting round; no reservation rules apply at this stage.

TISS Online Assessment (OA) is the second stage of the TISS Mumbai PG admissions selection process. The primary goal of stage 2: online assessment is to assess a candidate's interest and suitability for the selected programme. The aggregate final score is based on the first and second stages of the TISS Mumbai selection process. 

Students interested in pursuing M.Phil or PhD degrees at TISS Mumbai must take the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Research Aptitude Test (TISS RAT). The Research Aptitude Test (RAT) evaluates students' research and analytical abilities, while the personal interview evaluates their research aptitude, competence, subject knowledge, and suitability to join the research stream. TISS RAT lasts 2 hours and the maximum number of marks a student can receive is 100. Shortlisted students will be notified for a 100-point interview.

TISS Mumbai Diploma and PGD Admission Process

Students must meet the eligibility requirements for TISS Mumbai diploma and PGD admissions. Students must complete the application form after meeting the eligibility criteria. Candidates for the Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management must take a written exam as well as a personal interview. 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for diploma and postgraduate diploma programmes will be interviewed (in person or by phone) by the selection committee, depending on the programme. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the notice boards of the institute's respective departments and will be communicated to the selected candidates only via email.

TISS Mumbai PG Admission Process

TISS Mumbai admissions are offered to candidates who meet the institution's eligibility criteria. To apply for TISS Mumbai PG admissions, eligible candidates must complete the TISS Mumbai application form. Candidates must take the TISS NET, a computer-based screening test. TISS publishes the TISSNET cut off on its official website. The TISSNET cut off is the minimum number of points that students must obtain in order to be considered for the second stage of the TISS Mumbai admissions process: TISS Online Assessment (OA). Candidates must attend TISSNET counselling after the cutoffs are released. Finally, candidates must report to their respective campuses for document verification and payment of course fees.

TISS Mumbai PhD and M.Phil Admission Process

The first step in the TISS Mumbai PhD admissions process is to meet the eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates must take the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Research Aptitude Test (TISS RAT), which is worth 100 points. Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their TISS RAT scores must attend a personal interview. The personal interview round is worth another 100 points. TISS Mumbai admissions are offered to candidates with a sufficient score in both these rounds.

Dear Ketaki, TISS Mumbai does not offer MBA in Finance. The MBA programmes offered at TISS Mumbai are Business Policy and Entrepreneurship, Development Management, Health Systems Management, HRM, Information Systems Management, Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development Management. The admission process for the MBA courses at TISS Mumbai is based on the TISSNET exam which is a 2-hour exam that consists of 100 multiple choice questions. The TISSNET exam is conducted in April every year and the shortlisted candidates for the MBA courses at TISS Mumbai will be called for a personal interview.
