The Chief guest Shri Pritam Ganjewar focused on skill development gap and the efforts taken by his firm to train the undergraduate engineers .He briefed about Center for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIT) which focuses on developing required skillsets for the human resourse.He also told that CIIIT is about to start an incubation centre at Banerpune where training related to skill development can be offered to 10,000 persons per year.It includes the industry similar setup and the trainees can learn from design stage to production stage skill sets.He appreciated the event moto of Engineering Today 2025 event and mentioned that such events definitely strengthen the skillset of engineering humanresourse which s need of the day. The 20th AISSMS Engineering Today 2025 lit up with the enthusiastic participation of over 2,500 students from every corner of India. Every branch brought its own spark—Chemical with Res-Q, LabXscape, and FlowQuest; Civil with Model Making, Technical Sparkscover, and a brain-teasing Quiz; Mechanical with thrilling challenges like Escape Room, Radium Striker, and Scavenger Hunt; and Robotics & Automation with futuristic contests like Mock Placement, FI Simulation, and Sud Games.
The excitement only grew with Computer Engineering’s InnovateSphere Hackathon, Treasure Hunt, and BGMI– Battlefield Arena. Electrical tested wit and reflexes with License to Kill: The Laser War, Shock Xcape, and Traitor Among Us. Meanwhile, Electronics & Telecommunication wowed everyone with high-energy battles like Air-O-Rush, Robo Mania, Robo Race, and Robo Soccer. Adding new dimensions, the NSS Scitech Villagethon and Universo Space & Astronomy’s Beyond the Horizon inspired students to think beyond boundaries. The prize distribution ceremony was held on 30 th September .Mr.Rajan Kumar (Deputy General Manager,Regional Head,Bank of Baroda) and Dr.D.S.Bormane (Principal ,AISSMS College of Engineering) gave away the prizes for winners in different events. The All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s (AISSMS) College of Engineering, Pune, along with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), successfully organized SciTech Villagethon 2025 a special intercollegiate project competition focused on rural development and innovation.
The event encouraged graduate and postgraduate students to create simple and practical technology-based solutions for real problems faced by people in villages. Students presented projects in areas such as agriculture, water management, women empowerment, healthcare, rural employment, affordable housing, organic farming, and infrastructure.
Dr. Nana Shejwal, Coordinator of SciTech Villagethon, welcomed everyone and explained that the event aims to help students use their engineering knowledge for the betterment of rural communities. The Chief Guest, Dr. Shrikrushna Sartale, Senior Professor from Savitribai Phule Pune University, appreciated the students’ efforts and guided them on how to find real rural challenges and develop useful solutions. Dr. D. S. Bormane, Principal of AISSMS College of Engineering, praised the participants for their creative and meaningful work. He highlighted the importance of connecting technology with rural needs to bring sustainable change.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Sulochana Sonkamble, Professor of Computer Engineering at JSPM NTC, spoke about using modern digital tools and technology for overall rural development. In his message, Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Hon. Secretary of AISSM Society, said that SciTech Villagethon 2025 truly represents AISSMS’s vision of empowering rural India through student-led innovation. Dr. Vivek Korde evaluated the student projects and appreciated their innovative ideas and practical approach. The event ended with the announcement of the first and second prize winners, whose projects stood out for their creativity and social impact.
The program was smoothly anchored by Prof. Navale from the Electronics and Telecommunication Department. Ms. Maheshwari Gaikwad, an NSS volunteer, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, students, volunteers, and staff for making the event successful.

AISSMS COE is organising its annual innovation fest called the "19th AISSMS ENGINEERING TODAY-2024".
