Centrally air-conditioned residences (separate for boys & girls) provide around 500 rooms for undergraduates and postgraduates. Ensuite rooms; with attached bath (facility of hot & cold water) and study-rooms can be shared between 2 or 4 students. The common room shared between 4 or 8 students comes complete with a service unit, a Plasma TV and a refrigerator. All our accommodation is well furnished and maintained to a high standard. All rooms have network ports and high speed network/internet access. Bed linen and blankets or duvets are also provided. LAN and wi-fi internet connections are available in all areas, recognizing the need students for connectivity.
All campus accommodation has resident staff who make sure that everything runs smoothly and look after the welfare of the students. With regard to security, it is world class, fitted with fire sprinklers/ fire alarms, smoke detectors. All areas of the campus have biometric access.
Halloween Costume fashion walk was organised on 5th November in the college amphitheater by the Fine Arts Club. Students participated with full enthusiasm and were given awards for the best costume and scariest moves.
The activity was conducted for BBA 4th semester students and the topic was “Budget 2015 and its impact on the economy. The topic was discussed form the point of view of various parameters like,
Lot of viewpoints were discussed. Some of the participants were happy with the way the current government has rolled out the budget whereas others spoke against the performance of the current government. The discussion got a little distracted when it became more of a political discussion rather than budget analysis but it turned out to be very interesting and liked by all who attended. There were a lot of takeaways from the discussion like discussions about the fiscal policy, the revenue and expenditure of the government expenditure and most importantly, some of the grass root level problems were discussed by the students which was appreciated by all.
