About Chitkara University
Chitkara University is a private, multidisciplinary university established in 2010 under the Chitkara University Act by the Punjab State Legislature, with recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. It began in 2002 as an affiliated college under the Chitkara Educational Trust and is located on the Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway (NH-64), approximately 30 km from Chandigarh, making it accessible from cities like Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala, and Patiala. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is approved by bodies such as AICTE, PCI, NCTE, INC, COA, and NCHMCT.
