Dear Student,
Admission to B.Tech at COEP Pune is strictly based on MHT CET or JEE Main scores, with no direct or management quota seats available. Since you haven’t taken either exam, securing a seat at COEP is not possible this year. However, you can explore private engineering colleges in Pune (like MIT-WPU or DY Patil) that admit students based on 12th marks or their own entrance tests. Alternatively, consider reappearing for MHT CET/JEE next year or checking lateral entry options via MSBTE LEET if you hold a diploma. For now, COEP admission remains inaccessible without the required entrance exam ranks.
Hi,
Yes, admission to BTech programmes at College of Engineering Pune is done through MHT CET exam but the college also accepts JEE Main score for admission. According to JEE Main cutoff, the expected closing rank for BTech CSE is around 4593-4598. Meanwhile, the expected JEE Main cutoff for BTech Civil Engineering and BTech Mechanical Engineering is around 23391-23396 and 18805-18810 respectively.
Hello Dattatreya, students those who have qualified in the GATE entrance exam and have a valid score for the current academic year will be eligible for M.Tech admission at COEP. Candidates must pay the Rs 1000 registration fee to apply for admission to the account number: 31193113321. The COEP Pune M.Tech registration process ends on July 22, 2023. Dear Dipak,
COEP Pune admissions are made based on MHT CET scores. You can apply from the official website of COEP. Only those candidates who have registered and confirmed online through the CET portal and verified their applications as per MH CET Cell notification before the last cut off date are eligible for counselling rounds. COEP Pune accepts national and state-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, MHT CET, MAH CET, GATE and CEED.
Dear student, it is unlikely that you will be able to get admission in B.Tech with 70 percentile in JEE Mains. The COEP Pune cut off for B.Tech in 2022 was 93.1 percentile for the general category. This means that you would have needed to score at least 93.1 percentile in the JEE Mains exam to be eligible for admission to B.Tech at COEP under the general category. Since the 2023 cut off is going to be similar to the previous year's cut off marks, it is advised to start looking for admissions at other colleges with lower cut offs.
