DTU Delhi Admission 2023: Dates, Application Form, Process, Eligibility

DTU admissions 2024: JEE Main scores are considered for admissions to B.Tech courses. NTA has officially announced the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 results online. The registrations for Session 2 is currently open and will close on March 2, 2024. For M.Tech admissions , the answer key for GATE 2024,  will be released on February 21, 2024.

• The Delhi Technological University admission criteria for 2023 will be based on the scores of various national-level entrance examinations. 
• The B.Tech admission will be based on the JEE Main scores followed by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) which is conducted by the Government of NCT. 
• For M.Tech admissions, the GATE scores are considered which are followed by the interview round. 
• B.Des admissions are based on the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) exam. 
• The DTU MBA admission criteria include scores of exams like CAT, MAT, and, CMAT. 
• For M.Des, the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) scores are considered. 

DTU Eligibility Criteria 2023 

The Delhi Technological University admission process consists of various stages. The details about the admission cycle at the university are mentioned below. 

• As the first step, students are required to appear for and qualify for the respective entrance examinations for the various courses. These exams include JEE Main, CAT, GATE, UCEED, CEED, etc. For B.Tech, students must clear the JEE Main exam with a good rank. This is followed by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). For other courses like M.Tech, MBA, B.Des, and, M.Des, the scores of GATE, CAT, UCEED, and, CEED are required. 
• Then, students must fill out the application form of the university through the official DTU admission portal. 
• The university then evaluates the applications of all candidates and releases the cutoff or merit lists. 
• This is followed by final stages of the selection process like the interview, group discussion, counselling, etc. 
• Once these steps are completed, the seat allotment is made by Delhi Technological University.

B.Tech is the flagship course of the university and is offered in more than 15 specialisations. The DTU admission process for BTech is based on JEE Main scores. Based on these scores, various rounds of Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) are conducted by the Government of NCT to allot seats. Lateral entry admission is also offered for the B.Tech course in various specialisations. The Delhi Technological University B.Tech admission is based on the scores of the Common Entrance Test (CEE) conducted by the university itself for the Lateral Entry B.Tech courses. 

DTU Admission Criteria for B.Tech 2023

• For the DTU admission process for B.Tech, 85% of the seats are reserved for students who have pursued their schooling in Delhi or the NCT of Delhi.
• 15% of the seats are for candidates who have completed schooling outside Delhi. 
• 10% relaxation will be provided for the DTU BTech eligibility criteria 2023 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. 
• 5% relaxation is provided for OBC and Defense category students.

Step 1: Visit the official website of DTU which is dtu.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to the “Admission” or “Apply Now” section of the page.

Step 3: Register as a fresh applicant by entering details like name, email id, phone number, etc. 

Step 4: Fill out the admission form and pay the DTU admission fees. The admission fee is Rs 1,500 for all categories. 

Step 5: Additionally, the admission process is completed only when a printout of the duly filled form is taken. This is a mandatory step. 

Step 6: Candidates must carry the printout of the application form along with 2 passport-size photographs with them on the day of counselling.
