Why DTU is better than other engineering colleges?

Overall DTU is overall a very good college. There is no any doubt about the infrastructure, the course, academics, the campus life and the facilities over here. College provides every basic and advanced facility. that a student needs. Most of the faculties here are very cooperative, except few of them who are less approachable. Placements here are good, but not very great as the recession is going on. But still in many big tech and non-tech companies are coming over here for placements, including—Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe Flipkart, JP Morgan, BNY Mellon, and fast Retailing. The campus life here is the best, including the fest, the food outlets, the open area to sit and discuss with friends. As every college has some disadvantages along with the advantages. Like, sometimes the administrative actions take a lot of time, there are some irregularities and mismanagements too, but these are very common in any large institution. Except this, you would love and enjoy the college life here. The hostels are also very nice and in good conditions, AC Hostels are more preferable as they are really great, but you may also go for Non-AC Hostels. Overall, the college can be rated as one of the best Engineering colleges in Delhi, for sure.

Dtu is just wonderful

Overall DTU is one of the top engineering colleges in India, offering a solid academic foundation combined with a dynamic campus life. The admission process is merit-based, using JEE Mains scores, and the competition is fierce, particularly for non-Delhi candidates due to the 85% Delhi quota. The course curriculum is good for foundational knowledge, especially for technical subjects like OOPs, DBMS, and OS. However, some advanced topics only touch the intermediate level. The schedule can be hectic, with exams, projects, and tests tightly packed into a two-month timeframe. Despite the challenges, DTU's strong placement record, internship opportunities, and vibrant extracurricular activities make it a preferred choice for aspiring engineers.

Faculty The faculty at DTU is a major highlight, known for being knowledgeable, approachable, and experienced. Many professors, such as Trasha Gupta and LN Das, are well-versed in their subjects and adopt a balanced teaching approach that helps students understand both theoretical and practical aspects. Some faculty members, like those in applied physics, were particularly renowned for their teaching quality and overall guidance, although faculty turnover occasionally leads to the loss of such gems. While most professors are helpful, a few are stricter with marking and can be inconsistent with conducting classes. Exams vary in difficulty, with some subjects being more challenging than others, depending on the professor. The curriculum offers a solid theoretical base but might lack the depth needed for advanced industry-level work, requiring students to self-learn emerging technologies. Despite minor drawbacks, DTU’s faculty ensures a robust academic foundation while fostering independent learning.

Good campus life , chill enviornment

Overall It's having a good campus of 225 acre which includes everything you need except swimming . But the intake of Delhi region student is very high which is the main issue

Faculty The environment is pretty chill Some professor are strict with attendance otherwise you will see calm behaviour of professors. They understand you problem and give a solution .

Overall I mean it is an all right college there is nothing unbelievable but still. The social life is hard to keep up with but academics comes as a balance to it if you can mix yourself in.Just temper your expectations.

Faculty Some professors spend all their time on the edge of their classroom seats while lecturing while others do not have their ears on what is supposed to be discussed in the class.

Delhi Technological University, New Delhi

Overall Delhi Technological University is a My Favorite One and it's facilities are soo good. Teachers are very helpful and also environment is good looking. They help us to learn new skills and also helps to got a placements. All other important facilities that required are soo good.

Faculty The teachers are very helpful. There are many great teachers who take teaching and studying really seriously but there are also many teachers who just don't care about teaching, which at first seems really nice. The semester exams aren't that difficult though. The course curriculum is nice too, in my opinion.

Dear Student,

Here’s the latest update on the BA (Hons.) Economics tuition fees at DTU (excluding hostel charges), based on the 2025–26 academic year:

  • Annual tuition + associated academic fees: ₹1,17,200 per year
  • Total for the full 4‑year program: ₹1,17,200 × 4 ≈ ₹4,68,800

This figure covers tuition and statutory fees (like development, welfare, and exam charges) but excludes hostel or other separate living costs. So, you might have to pay approximately ₹4.69 lakh in total for tuition over four years.

Dear Manish,

As you have completed the physical reporting in DTU, we hope the document verification has been completed on your part. If these both steps are done, the authorities will inform you regarding the commencement of the session, which is expected to begin anytime soon. Also, you have to fill out the hostel registration form separately. The DTU hostel registration has begun and you first have to check whether or not the first-year hostel registration for your course has started. You must fill out and submit the form as soon as possible as the hostel intake is limited. You have to enter your JAC registration number or JEE roll number to complete the admission process.

Hope this helps!

Feel free to contact us for any other queries or questions.
