Overall Dr Meghnad saha institute of technology is the only government college in haldia.it is very good college for future.faculty, teaching methods, infrastructure are avarage quality.campus area, garden, labs are not good.i am admitted this college because only for placements, it is good.

Faculty The faculties to students ratio 5 5:100.very friendly, helpful for us.the teaching methods of faculties are good.student facilities relationship is very good.

Overall The academics and the curriculum is nice. The professors are well trained in there respective subjects. The development and syllabus is all updated and well framed. The academic life in the university is outstanding.

Faculty There are not many faculty member..But the faculty members are very high knowledgeable in there own subjects. They take care of students inside or outside the college.

Dear Student,

To get admission to 1st year Diploma in Engineering at Dr. Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Haldia, you will have to participate in the JEXPO counselling 2025. Online applications are being accepted till June 10, 2025. To apply, you can register through the official website of the West Bengal State Counselling of Vocational Training, scvtwb.in. Earlier admission was done based on JEXPO scores but since 2024, the entrance exam has been scrapped. So, now admission is strictly merit-based and through the counselling process. You must have passed Madhyamik or Class 10 Equivalent Board Examinations with Science / Physical Science and Mathematics subjects and at least 35% aggregate marks to be eligible for the merit list.
