The campus provides a supporting environment to smoothen this transition and is blessed with a serene atmosphere to help kindle the spirit of enquiry and sustain it.
The campus offers to the residents, students and faculty, all the facilities which one can expect in an ideal place of learning – well-quipped classroom, Laboratories, rich Library, hygienic Canteen, Gymnasium, Bank, Shopping Outlet, high security and 24×7 surveillance along with Emergency Services.
GMRIT hostels were built in 1998. Providing separate accommodation for men and women, the present strength of the residential community is 1000 +. The two hostels are headed by the Administrative Officer whose keen observation and guidance enables the staff to discharge their duties effectively, while continuously maintaining discipline among the residents.
The women's hostel has two blocks "Nagavali" and "Vamsadhara" with a capacity to accommodate 444 students.
The men's hostel has five blocks "Vindhya", "Satpura" "Aravali" "Nilgiri" "Himalaya" with a capacity to accommodate 1263 students.
Brings out inherent talent in language and literature among the students.
Encourages students to take up technical hobbies and hone their Engineering skills in WEB designing, Robotics etc.
National Service Scheme (NSS) has a strong base in the Institute. Adhering to the philosophy of “giving back to the society” of the GMR Group, various service activities like Relief camps for natural calamities, Awareness programs on literacy, AIDS, Nutrition and Public Health etc. are organized regularly. Blood Donation in association with Indian Red Cross Society is one of the major service activities. The GMRIT unit has received Gold Medal (in 2009) and Silver Medals (in 2010 and 2011) from His Excellency, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh for organizing Blood Donation Camp in association with Indian Red Cross Society.
Facilitates students to make short and documentary films on social themes.
The club promotes learning the techniques of photography for novice.
