Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.

Government Engineering College Thrissur Admission

Admission to Government Engineering College Thrissur is offered to students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. GEC Thrissur enrollment courses include B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.C.A., M.Planning, and Ph.D. Candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates must take the KEAM exam to be admitted to the B.Tech programme. Following the announcement of the results, participating institutes release the cutoff. Furthermore, students are assigned seats in the CEE counselling process based on their admission test merit score and marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics at the 10+2 level.   • Candidates must meet the GEC Thrissur admission eligibility requirements.
  • Candidates must take the GATE exam, which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and get a valid score.
  • The final result will be declared, and the cutoff will be publicly disclosed.
  • Following that, candidates must complete the college application form.
  • The candidates will be chosen by the college based on their position on the rank list.
  • The rank list will be created based on the results of the entrance exam.
  • In case there are not enough GATE-qualified candidates, seats will be filled from among Keralite candidates based on percentage of marks up to 6 semesters.
  • Shortlisted candidates must submit the important documents and pay fees to confirm their seats after the rank list is prepared based on GATE scores/percentage of marks.

GEC Thrissur Admission Process - Ph.D

  • Firstly, candidates have to meet the required eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates with a master's degree who have three years of teaching experience in AICTE approved/NBA accredited departments or colleges or three years of experience in a reputed sector or have a fellowship/scholarship from a government agency are exempt from GATE/UGC-CSIR NET.
  • Candidates must then complete the college application form.
  • Following that, candidates must appear for a written test and/or an interview.
  • Finally, selected candidates must submit the required documents and pay the applicable fees.
