Admission to Government Engineering College Thrissur is offered to students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. GEC Thrissur enrollment courses include B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.C.A., M.Planning, and Ph.D. Candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates must take the KEAM exam to be admitted to the B.Tech programme. Following the announcement of the results, participating institutes release the cutoff. Furthermore, students are assigned seats in the CEE counselling process based on their admission test merit score and marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics at the 10+2 level. Candidates must indicate their preference for GEC Thrissur during the admissions process. Candidates for admission to the M.C.A. programme are chosen from a merit list/rank list based on their qualifying exam scores. GATE is required for GEC Thrissur admission to the M.Tech programme.
The college provides a rank list based on GATE scores. According to the GEC Thrissur admission procedure for Ph.D programme, candidates must take a written test and/or interview. Candidates must submit documents and pay fees to confirm their seats in all of the above programmes after being selected.
