IIT Delhi Fees 2026

 IIT Delhi fees range from INR 62,550 to INR 12 Lakhs for the complete course duration across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. B.Tech is the most sought-after program offered by the institute. IIT Delhi B.Tech fees is INR 8.63 Lakhs for the complete 4-year duration. The total fees for the M.Tech program is INR 3.81 Lakhs, while the MBA fees is INR 12 Lakhs and M.Sc fees is INR 1.2 Lakhs. PhD at IITD costs INR 62,550 for the entire duration of the program, as per the official fee structure.

IIT Delhi B.Tech fees is INR 8.63 Lakhs for 4 years (Gen/OBC-NCL/EWS with family income above INR 5 Lakhs), including a tuition fee of INR 1,00,000 per year). Apart from this, students need to pay INR 8,150 as a one-time admission fee, INR 6,250 per year as other institutional charges, INR 8,000 as a refundable caution deposit, and INR 8,600 per semester as institute residence fee (if hostel is allotted).

IIT Delhi MTech fees for 2026 is INR 3.81 Lakhs for the complete 2-year program, including tuition fees of INR 17,000 per semester. Apart from this, students need to pay institute/other charges of INR 22,400 per semester along with other semester-wise applicable fees. Eligible GATE-qualified students also receive a Teaching Assistantship (TA) stipend of INR 12,400 per month.

IIT Delhi MBA fees 2026 is INR 12 Lakhs for the complete 2-year program, including a tuition fee of INR 3,00,000 per semester. Apart from this, students need to pay INR 22,400 as other charges per semester and INR 8,600 as institute residence fee per semester if hostel is allotted. SC/ST/PwD students get full tuition waiver.

IIT Delhi MSc fees for 2025–26 is INR 1.2 Lakhs for the complete 2-year program, including tuition fees of INR 7,500 per semester. Apart from this, students need to pay INR 44,800 per year as other academic and institutional charges. SC/ST category students get full tuition fee waiver.

IIT Delhi hostel fees range from INR 36,000 to INR 50,000 per semester. Hostel fees at IIT Delhi vary depending on the type of accommodation and facilities provided. Old hostels such as Aravali, Shivalik, Nilgiri, Kumaon, and Jwalamukhi are non-AC and relatively economical, while newer hostels like Dronagiri and Satpura offer centralized AC facilities at higher charges. Apartment-style accommodations such as Nalanda and IP Transit are mainly offered to PG students.

Mess charges are included in the semester hostel fee for BTech students. However, for PG students, mess charges are billed separately in many hostels depending on accommodation type.

IIT Delhi has 13 hostels on campus — 10 for men and 3 for women. For BTech students, hostel accommodation is generally guaranteed. However, for PG and PhD students, hostel accommodation is given on a priority basis. Female students, students with disabilities (SwD), and students from remote areas are prioritised.

IIT Delhi fees can be paid online through the HDFC Payment Gateway available on the official IIT Delhi portal. For BTech students, fee payment begins during JoSAA counselling, where a portion is paid at the reporting centre and the remaining amount is paid directly through the institute portal before registration.

3. Select the academic semester for payment
4. Verify fee details and total amount
5. Click ‘Pay Now’ to proceed to HDFC Payment Gateway
6. Choose payment method (Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI)
7. Complete payment and download receipt

For education loan, RTGS, or NEFT payments, students must generate an offline challan through the HDFC portal and submit it to the bank. This method is not applicable for hostel or mess payments, which are handled separately through the BHM portal at bhm.iitd.ac.in.

• 1–5 days delay: INR 250 extra
• 6–10 days delay: INR 750 extra (INR 500 + INR 250)
• After 10 days: Registration cancelled, hostel vacated, re-registration fee INR 1,000
