IIT Delhi hostel fees range from INR 36,000 to INR 50,000 per semester. Hostel fees at IIT Delhi vary depending on the type of accommodation and facilities provided. Old hostels such as Aravali, Shivalik, Nilgiri, Kumaon, and Jwalamukhi are non-AC and relatively economical, while newer hostels like Dronagiri and Satpura offer centralized AC facilities at higher charges. IIT Delhi has 13 hostels on campus — 10 for men and 3 for women. For BTech students, hostel accommodation is generally guaranteed. IIT Delhi fees can be paid online through the HDFC Payment Gateway available on the official IIT Delhi portal. For BTech students, fee payment begins during JoSAA counselling, where a portion is paid at the reporting centre and the remaining amount is paid directly through the institute portal before registration.
Steps to Pay IIT Delhi Fees
For education loan, RTGS, or NEFT payments, students must generate an offline challan through the HDFC portal and submit it to the bank. This method is not applicable for hostel or mess payments, which are handled separately through the BHM portal at bhm.iitd.ac.in.
