IPCW Scholarships 2026 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

The Indraprastha College scholarships and awards are offered to meritorious students acknowledging their academic achievements. Also, several scholarships are offered to students belonging to financially backward communities with excellent academic merit, to support their higher education. 

The University of Delhi also offers scholarships to students who come from financially weaker backgrounds. Majorly the scholarship programmes in Indraprastha College for Women are provided on a merit basis, but there are some scholarships for the SC, ST, OBC and PWD categories as well. Fee concessions are also possible for which students have to provide the income report of the family.

The Indraprastha College scholarships are awarded in honour of some of the most notable personalities, these are:

• Rewa Dhawan Memorial Scholarship provided to the Department of Economics best student.
• Shri Rai Bahadur Amba Prasad Memorial Prize for the best student, Department of Computer Science.
• P.C. Banerjee Memorial Prize for the best student, Department of Literature.
• D.R. Gulati Memorial Prize for the best all round student from the Department of Commerce.
• B.B. Lal Memorial Prize for the best all round student, Department of Hindi.

Some of the scholarships offered to PWD category students are:

• Shyamal Mitra and Chhaya Mitra Memorial Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for PWD category students.
• Dr Sadhana Chatterjee Memorial Scholarship for PWD category students.
• Dr Snehlata Srivastava Memorial Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for PWD category students.
• Balraj Khillan Memorial Scholarship for PWD category students.
• Ruchika Batra Bhutani Scholarship for PWD category students.

The students who belong to financially weaker sections are eligible for receiving a fee concession. A Book Bank facility is provided in the library from where needy students can borrow textbooks for the whole academic year. Several merit cum means based scholarships are also awarded to deserving students by IP College. Special scholarships are also offered by the DU for SC/ ST/ BPL/ PWD category students. Indraprastha College invites applications for financial assistance. Information regarding this is put up on the notice board and the college website.
