Maitreyi College campus is surrounded by the lush green environment from all the four corners. The college 15 laboratories for students in the field of Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Electronics and others. The laboratories at the college are well equipped with all the latest equipment.
The Maitreyi College library was established in the year 1967. It is a user-focused centre of learning resources that meet all the current and anticipated information needs of Maitreyi College academic and research fraternity regarding learning, teaching, research, and training programs. It has a collection of over 97800 volumes comprising of books pertaining to various academic needs of the College fraternity. The library has a subscription of approximately 61 print journals, periodicals, magazines of national and international repute and 19 leading national newspapers to update the users with latest happenings in and around the world.
Among other facilities, the college has a cafeteria which serves delicious snacks to the students and faculty. The college also has a computer centre, seminar room, auditorium and facility for indoor and outdoor sports.
NCC Club -
College maintains two companies of NCC who are actively associated with all projects of NCC.
NSS Club -
The NSS unit of the College is engaged in many community activities. Chief among them are adult literacy camps, working with the Blind Relief Association and Spastics society. It also campaigns against drug abuse and is actively involved in projects related to environmental issues.
Student Council Club -
Maitreyi College is proud of its active, vibrant, well-balanced and responsible Students Union. It comprises of elected representatives of the student body who undertake the task of organising co-curricular activities for various inter-and intra-college competitions. They are guided by a group of faculty advisors who help to coordinate their activities. Students are encouraged to join Music, Dramatics, Debate and Fine Arts Societies.
‘Rhapsody’ the Inter-College Festival, organised by the Students Union every Year in winter is one of the most eagerly awaited events of College life.
Music Club -
Riyaaz, the Music Society of our College is a group of young, talented, aspiring artistes showcasing some in genuine capabilities in classical, semi-classical, sufi, ghazal, bollywood and other genre of light music. Over the years, the music group has transformed into a coordinated, well-organized and dedicated band of talented girls, bringing laurels to the college. The society has been actively participating in numerous college and university fests, including esteemed colleges of Delhi University, along with IITs, AIIMS, IP University, National Law University, etc. Past members are earning name and fame in the music industry at national and international levels, inspiring and encouraging their peers, and making the college proud.
