Narula Institute of Technology News & Updates 2026: Notifications, Notice, Result

On July 24, 2023, the JIS School of Medical Science & Research was inaugurated remotely by Mamata Banerjee, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal. JIS Group in association with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal has started the JIS School of Medical Science & Research in Santragachi, Howrah in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. With approval from the National Medical Council, JIS School of Medical Science & Research seeks to offer admission to 150 students annually to its prestigious MBBS course effective from the academic year 2023-24.

Sardar Taranjit Singh, the Managing Director of JIS Group, along with the members of the Governing Board, marked their presence at the event. The JIS Group signed an MOU at the Bengal Global Business Summit with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, to establish the JIS School of Medical Science & Research. JIS Group is committed to cater to healthcare and medical education in West Bengal.

Narula Institute of Technology has received a sanction order for Chandrayaan 2 project as a host institution. This project will allow the Narula Institute of Technology to explore the constituents of Chandra’s atmosphere from ISRO. This project will have a total outlay of Rs 39.9 Lakh for a period of three years. This project will be operated under Dr Swastika Chakraborty, Department of ECE, as Principal Investigator.

Narula Institute of Technology has released the examination schedule for the 1st-semester students of B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, and B.Tech (Lateral) for both regular and supplementary. Narula Institute of Technology has received a 4-star rating out of 5 in the Institution Innovation Council (2021-22) and is also among the top five institutions in the Eastern Region. Narula Institute also received the sanction order from ISRO. The institute is aiming to constantly provide quality education to its students and its top rank is proof of this.

Narula Institute of Technology students participated in the Kolkata Book Fair. Students performed cultural activities and participated in quizzes and debates. The presence of Tollywood film stars Sohom and Sayani and Dr Kunal Sarkar were highlights of the day.

Narula Institute of Technology is celebrating JIS Samman 2023. JIS Samman is a sports meet for students to enjoy a week of athletic events. The event is organised from February 20, 2023 to March 6, 2023.

Narula Institute of Technology is all set to organise a five-day inter-school carnival for students from Class 7 to Class 12. Students from different schools can register for the event online as well as offline. The Last date to register is February 10, 2023, and the event will take place from February 13 to February 17, 2023.
