Aditya Birla Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship is given to PGP students of both the first and the second years.  The students who are granted the scholarship during the first year are eligible to apply for renewal in the second year, provided they belong to the top 25% of the batch in the first year. The scholarship amount is INR 1.75 lakh per student. The recipients of the scholarship were:

Citi Women's Leader Award

Bennett Scholarship

Scholarships are kind of financial support that is given to the students of a particular institution. The scholarships can be granted as a one-time benefit or may be offered in recurring terms. Depending upon the needs and requirements of the students and of the course curriculum, the scholarships are granted. Different scholarships are offered on different terms and for a different time period. The IIM Bangalore also offers different scholarships as per the needs and merits of the applicants of scholarships. The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Scholarships is offered to the students who fall in the eligibility norms defined by the institution.

These IIM Bangalore Scholarships can be availed by the students of Post Graduate Programme offered by the institution. Among the list of the available IIMB scholarships, few are Merit-Based and few are Merit – cum – Need-Based. Given below is the list of these scholarships of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

Aditya Birla Scholarship: These scholarships are Merit-Based Scholarships that are available for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) students. Students of the first year and second year can be eligible for this scholarship. In order to take the scholarship of this category, students will have to be among the top 25% of the PGP first year and second-year students. If a student has been granted with the scholarship in the first and is again eligible for the scholarship in the second year then such student will have to apply for the renewal of the scholarship. The scholarship amount is INR 1.75 lakh per student.

OPJEMS Scholarship: This is again a Merit-Based Scholarship that is awarded to the PGP students of Second Year. The first year toppers who are promoted to the second year are eligible for the scholarship. Top ten among these toppers can apply for the scholarship and appear for the online test conducted by OP Jindal Group. The topper of this test shall become eligible for the OPJEMS Scholarships. This scholarship holder will be awarded INR 1.50 lakh.

Citi Women’s Leader Award: At the end of the first year, the top 25% among the total students will be eligible for the scholarship. Students are nominated by the institution after the end of the first year and then the final selection will be done by the Citi Group on the basis of their     Statement of Purpose followed by interviews conducted by the Citi Group. This scholarship will help students to get full coverage of the Second Year’s tuition fees.

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre India Scholarship: The scholarship of this category is Need-Based as the students will be selected on the basis of the financial restraints faced during the first year of the course. The entire tuition fee will be covered under this scholarship subject to the approval of the Societe Generale and various interviews conducted for the same.

Siddhartha Padam Award: These scholarships are awarded to the students who bags the Director’s Merit List and score highest CGPA in Economics, Finance & Accounting core courses in the first year. An amount of Rs 50,000, a certificate and a medallion.

Apart from these scholarships the institutions also provide financial aids to the students who are in need of these assistance irrespective of their merit. The IIM Bangalore Financial Aid Policy will allow every interested applicant to complete their course without any financial restraints and stress. These aids will be given to the students who have opted for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and have an annual family income less than Rs 6,00,000 will be considered as eligible for the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Financial Aid. Students with severe financial issues and/or surrounded by unwanted and unforeseen circumstances will also be considered eligible for this financial aid.

Students with all the correct documents and valid proofs will be entertained by the officials providing financial aid. The students found guilty in the submission of proper documents will be eligible to get debarred from claiming both the financial aid and the scholarship. Deciding on the number of awardees and quantum of aid will reside in the hands of the Financial Aid Committee. Based on the decision made by the committee, the students will be given the scholarship of 100%, 80%, 60%, 40% or 20% respectively.
