Yes, the University offers scholarships to its students on the basis of merit. The NGO Regent Education and Research Foundation (RERF), which provides funding to the University, also gives special scholarships for students who are from poor economic background.

There are many streams in Swami Vivekananda University and require many different documents. A few of the common documents which are required are the 10th standard os SSC mark sheet, 12th standard or HSC marksheet, identity card (PAN card, aadhar card, driving license, etc.). For getting into degree courses, the candidate needs to show any entrance exam result if applicable; for a master degree, the candidate should have a bachelor's degree with them at the time of admission.

Apart from this, the candidate should have also attempted and cleared any of the entrance exams which the University accepts. Yes, Swami Vivekananda University has a lateral entry option but only for B.Tech. Program. Lateral entry will be offered only to third-year Diploma and B.Sc degree holders only in the following courses: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The option is available only to take admission in the second year of B.Tech. course and this also depends upon the final marks of the candidate in their last year of diploma or the B.Sc

The list of specializations available are Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, English, Psychology, Food & Nutrition, Education, Mathematics. The candidate is required to have an MSc. degree with a minimum of 55 % marks ( 50% for the reserved category) and for other disciplines; a Masters degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% of marks ( 50% for the reserved category). Written tests and personal interviews then follow this basic eligibility.

Firstly, the candidate can apply through an online medium wherein they can visit the university's official website and apply for the selected program. There would be an option for paying initial admission fees, which can be paid via net banking, credit/debit cards or through UPI as well. The candidate can also visit the university office in person and collect the admission form. While submitting, the candidate needs to pay the admission process fee, which is INR 500, to the office counter
