Tezpur University B.Tech : Fees, Courses, Eligibility, Placement & Admission 2026

Hostel: Tezpur University has total 7 Boys and 8 Girls hostel. Hostels are quite good and spacious. However, mess food quality is average and not much good. Hostels are well equipped with Common rooms for recreation, Wi-Fi and canteen facilities. Few hostels also have gym facilities.

Overall: One of best campus over North East India.The university has may Green space and well maintained Specially the library is very big overall the program which are offer to the students is wide.

Placement: The Tezpur university placement sell actively collaborates with Various industries to invite companies for recruitments and to conduct their selection process over there.The University cell assists in securing internships.

Infrastructure: With the environment friendly infrastructure, The University has both Modern and traditional facilities in campus. Central library, Hostel, Laboratory has lastest features on it. High speed internet access in there throughout the university

Faculty: The faculty always ready to support student. One thing I notice The syllabus which is given by the faculty always well organised and clear outline of expectations.The interactive discussions with facilitate encourage participation for the various field and critical thinking.

Hostel: Overall Hostel provide Supportive and Welly maintenance staffs.The University hostel is equipped with security features uch as controlled access (not allowed outsiders after 10PM), surveillance cameras.

Overall: Our college organises various events like Techxetra, Insignia, cultural night, annual meet, cultural rally, adventure sports, etc., every year. If we say in one sentence, then Tezpur University is the best campus we have ever experienced.

Placement: Companies like ITC, colgate, OYO, ICICI, SBI, Federal bank etc. Comes for recruitment. Average package is about 5 LPA. They provides internship opportunity too.

Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided by the university like a central library, Wi-Fi, medical facility, etc. The quality of labs and classrooms are highly furnished.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful towards the students. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. They motivate thier students at every point of time.

Hostel: All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, common room, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security and surveillance system etc.

Overall: I studied BTech in CSE from Tezpur University and during the four years my teachers were very supportive. Overall the university is good for CSE course as the fees is low and the placements are good. I received Rs 5 LPA package during campus placements. The university also has hostel accommodations at a reasonable price.

Placement: Tezpur University placement cell was very attentive towards students who registered for placements. We were provided with extra classes to improve our skills. We also got to visit various companies during the industrial visits. During the campus placement, I was able to get a job and the package was Rs 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Tezpur University Infrastructure is amazing and it has all the required buildings for each department. For example, the Computer Science and Engineering department has an advanced computer lab. While for botany there were various medicinal gardens, etc.

Faculty: Tezpur University faculty for teaching were 20 in total. Most of them had completed their PhD and the minimum qualification among them was PG like MTech or MCA. My favourite teacher was Mr Debojir Boro.

Hostel: At Tezpur University hostel the food was to die for! The university charged us Rs 19,200 per year for the mess fee. The hostel mess had both veg and non-veg options with evening snacks every day. The hostel seat rent was only Rs 675 per semester while the admission fee was Rs 2000 per year.

Overall: I am Rahul who studied BTech in Civil Engineering from Tezpur University and passed out in 2022. In the final year, the college invited many recruiters and I was able to land a job of Rs 4 LPA. In my experience the university provides the best teachers for our course. The hostel accommodation was also affordable. To get admission to BTech at Tezpur University I qualified JEE Main exam.

Placement: Tezpur University placements in 2022 (when I graduated) was very good as I was able to land a job even though I am a mediocre student. I got placed in TCS with Rs 4 LPA package. I also got an offer from Wipro but the package was just Rs 3 LPA so I rejected that.

Infrastructure: There is no doubt that Tezpur University infrastructure was amazing as the university had everything inside the campus from hostels to classrooms. Our university has guest houses, sports facilities, medical facilities, a library, a computer centre, and much more!

Faculty: Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmad was our HOD for the Civil Engineering course. My favourite teacher was Dr Utpal Kumar Das. He was a true inspiration for me. He used to mix real-life experience with the prescribed syllabus to make the classes more interactive.

Hostel: I particularly loved the time I spent in the TU Tezpur hostel. The hostel admission fees was Rs 2000. While the mess fees was Rs 19,200 per year. Hostel seat rent was free for me as I belong to SC category. The mess provided us with both veg and non veg food options.

Overall: Tezpur University , is located in Nap-am district, Assam . Pin code: 784028. It offers UG and PG courses like B.Tech , M.Tech,B.Sc B.Ed, Integrated M.Sc , etc.

Placement: The University has its own placement cell where companies and organisations come to select the students for jobs. The placement records are very good of this university.

Infrastructure: Tezpur University has modern infrastructure to support its academic and research endeavours. The campus is very good and full of greenery and the classroom are also well equipped, it has a central library for the students and lecture halls for interactive sessions and laboratory and many more.

Faculty: The faculty of Tezpur University are expert and experienced educators and researchers dedicated to academic excellence . They mentor students and help the students.

Hostel: There are 7 boys 8 girls hostel in Tezpur University. The Hostel life is one of the best thing of this University. There is running water almost at everything of the day and electricity too. There is unlimited wifi also and the mess provides 3 time meals in a day.

Overall: Tezpur University is one of the best government universities present in Assam. Situated in Tezpur but known all over North Eastern Regions because of its diversity in courses and student friendly schedule. The departments are near hostel area and is easy for students to reach and attend the classes on time. The professors are knowledgeable and know how to help the students to tap their own potential in the subject of interest. Overall Tezpur University is top level University and has potential to help growth and development of growing minds of the students.

Placement: The placements in Tezpur university is continuously conducted at regular intervals by the hiring companies. At first the selected students are needed to have at least 1 year of internship experience for the job post. Overall the University placements are good but only a handful of graduates are selected.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Tezpur University includes the arrangement of hostels, departments of various courses, administrative buildings, recreational areas, etc. These are aligned in such a way that it gives an modern landscape and picturesque effect to the person who is visiting and living in the campus. The buildings are old but are constantly under upgrade in ever regular intervals. There are ponds and libraries for students to keep their mind calm and can focus on their studies better. Overall the infrastructure is quite good for a University.

Faculty: The faculty in Tezpur university is divided by courses. Different courses have different specific faculties. Mostly in general, every faculty consists of Dean, Head of the Department, Professors, Assistant Professors, Associate professors, lab assistants, etc. The faculty of every courses are responsible and disciplined and have active participation in every aspects from curricular to non-curricular activities.

Hostel: The Hostel is the main soul for the students. Good hostel buildings and environment impacts every students life positively. Getting to the point, the hostels are located inside the campus of the university, so there is no travel issue and no problem in attending classes. The hostel of boys and girls of both UG and PG students are separated. The corridors are clean and the buildings are renovated at regular intervals. Hostels are built closer to the departments so it becomes easy for the student to reach the classes on time. Overall the Hostels and hostel life here in Tezpur University is quite good and student friendly.

Overall: The university is quite a notable one within the locality. The education provided here is of very much good quality and the emphasis they give on studies is commendable. The campus is large and very beautiful. The lush greenery soothes your mind after a tiring day at the department.

Placement: As this institution is not particularly a complete technical college. The placement scenes are usually seen in MBA and Engineering departments. Placements are slightly below average if compared to IITs, NITs and IIMs.

Infrastructure: The campus was built in 1990's. But the architectures has a very modern outlook. The academic buildings are spacious, having sufficient space to accommodate different labs, conference rooms, seminar halls, galleries for special occasions. Besides that an Auditorium there. Sports activities centre, games courts, fields, yoga centre, health centre, guest house and many relaxation centres are there at various spots. Thus not only academic but extra curricular activities are taken proper care of.

Faculty: The faculty is very much qualified and notable in their fields of expertise. They are always strict where it comes to academics. But also, always up for a cup of coffee with the students.

Hostel: As a few more hostels are on the process construction, the accomodation facilities will improve. There are 8 girls and 7 boys hostels inside the campus, with each one for PhD scholars.

Overall: Tezpur University is good government college with beautiful greenary campus.It provides many facilities to the students and academic is also very good. Students can explore everything such as sports,gym etc.

Placement: Placements are good in Tezpur University. Most of the companies come from IT industries. Highest placement takes place in CSE department. Civil, mechanical, electrical engineering also provides good placement.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Tezpur University is very good, it has modern infrastructure. The academic building and department has good infrastructure and it provides all the facilities to the students and faculty

Faculty: Faculties are very knowledgeable and they are approachable whenever students need them. Faculties used to stay within the campus ,so students can call them whenever they need.

Hostel: There are about 7 girls hostel and 6 boys hostel. Hostel infrastructure is very good with wifi facilities all over the campus. Every hostels follows rules and regulations.

Overall: Tezpur University has played a major role in shaping my career in the field of Engineering. I have pursued a B.Tech in CSE. Not only, it has helped me academically but also assisted me in boosting my confidence through their various student-centric approaches. Along with commendable teaching techniques, TU has an exquisite infrastructure with all the required amenities. TU, for me, was like a home away from home. I have made some of the best memories here.

Placement: TU Placement Cell has all that one wants. From Counseling sessions to training sessions, Tezpur University helps us in every way possible. The counselling sessions made me understand which sector I should move forward with. This year too, some of the top recruiters are going to be part of the placement program. Capgemini, Himalaya Drug Company, Cognizant Technologies and Wipro are some of the companies I can recall from my time.

Infrastructure: My favorite place on the campus was the Botanical Garden. It has some of the most scenic views I've ever seen. Besides this, TU Campus also has a central library,Yoga center and Mess. Mess Food is okay. Yoga sessions were something I'd wait for all day long. It was very refreshing for us after a long day of studying.

Faculty: If the faculty isn’t supportive, then everything else nulls down to zero. But it is not the case with my university. Here, all the teachers are very supportive and understanding of your needs and concerns. They have helped me understand difficult topics very easily. I am the kind of student who needs special attention, which thankfully was possible here.The teachers have also provided us valuable information through their life experiences which were really helpful in the interviews.

Hostel: Hostel days were the best. Rooms were spacious and tidy. I shared my room with another student in the Bordoichila Chatri Niwas. The speciality of our hostel was that it is both Modern and Antique. The infrastructure and decor is very appealing. There are 6 other hostels, boys and girls separate. We have a visitors room and security post too. The locality of the hostel is decent and scenic.
