Overall: I am currently pursuing my MBA degree from Tezpur University. This university is a great place for fellow aspirants who are looking to pursue MBA from an institute that does not only provide them with quality education but also great infrastructure, career opportunities and a platform to showcase their talents. I would suggest this MBA from TU for aspirants living in the North-Eastern states of Assam as this university is one of the best in the region that also provides scholarships such as TU Institutional Fellowship, DBT scholarship, Inspire Scholarship, UGC merit scholarship, and PG Indira Gandhi scholarships, etc.
Placement: The TU placement cell is very good. You can also volunteer to be included in placement cell. The coordinator is also very helping. The lowest salary offered is around 3lpa and the highest is 15lpa and the average salary is around 4-5lpa. The top companies that visited the campus were Amazon, Saint Gobain, APDCL, IOCL, Addverb offering diverse roles to students in various departments.
Infrastructure: The department of engineering at TU campus is well-equipped in terms of infrastructure. The campus has Wi-Fi facility, and the computer labs have high-speed Ethernet facility for students to use for their projects. The classrooms are good with projector facilities and power backup. The college also has a well-stocked library with facilities for online renewal and booking as well.
Faculty: Tezpur University Faculty members of the MBA department have much industry exposure. Teachers are ready to help you whenever. You can reach them over mail, call them or text them over whatsapp anytime you want. Teaching is mainly theoretical. More case study based teaching is required (personal opinion). Curriculum is of international standard and is updated as required.
Hostel: The hostel provides decent food. There is also a medical center which provides free check-ups for all students. The canteen is well stocked with snacks. There are plenty of sports and games for recreation on the TU hostel grounds.
