Overall Jorhat Engineering College, popularly known as JEC is the second oldest engineering college in Assam as well as North East. This college has been playing a very crucial role in producing valuable assets every year since its establishment. As a student of JEC, I must say that it has a very good environment to study and learn.. The college campus can be said to be average but the learning is top notch. It is quite peaceful inside the campus. JEC organises a Tech fest called PHOENIX every year which attracts a lot of crowd and companies and start ups all over the north eastern region of India. This college has been located in a very good location quite close to the town of Jorhat.

Overall It's a second oldest and best Engineering college in Assam . There have 5 branches in BTech. Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil and computer science and engineering. CSE branch is one of the best branch in Assam . And it's placement is very good.
