Eligibility Criteria
- For UG courses: Higher Secondary (Class 12) marks considered on “Best of 5 Subjects” or Diploma marks.
- Lateral Entry: Scholarship calculated on overall Diploma marks.
- PG and B.Voc. courses: Above criteria not applicable.
- Gramotthan & Special Hill Students’ Scholarships require permanent resident proof.
- Minimum academic performance for continuation: No failed subjects, minimum 6.5 SGPA, and no Summer Classes attendance.
- Students must apply within the stipulated date with all supporting documents.
- Only one scholarship can be availed per student.

Terms & Conditions
- Empowered Committee’s decision is final regarding scholarship eligibility.
- Family income certificate must be issued by A1 Gazetted Officer / BDO / SDO / ADM / DM / Executive Officer.
- Scholarship is not applicable for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, Maritime Studies, Certificate & Diploma (less than 3 years), and B.Voc. courses.
- Students must pay ₹50,000 full admission fee by 30th June 2026 to be eligible (exceptions notified separately).
- Swami Vivekananda Government Scholarship of ₹60,000/year or more disqualifies TNU scholarship eligibility.
The Neotia University International Scholarship 2026-27
The Neotia University (TNU) offers merit-based scholarships for international students (excluding Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh) for the 2026–27 session. The scholarship ranges from 25% to 50% of tuition fees based on academic performance in qualifying examinations.
Scholarships are awarded under a single scheme only, and continuation depends on academic performance and university rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Important Terms & Conditions
- Only one scholarship scheme can be availed by a student.
- Scholarship is awarded after final approval by the university management.
- Students must maintain minimum 6.5 SGPA and clear all subjects for continuation.
- Application for scholarship must be submitted after final admission within the given deadline.
- Maximum scholarship allowed is up to 100% of tuition fees.
- Scholarship for Nepal and Bhutan students is separate.
Special Note
- 5% of admitted students from socially and economically backward categories (as per West Bengal Government norms) may receive 100% tuition fee waiver (free-ship).
The Neotia University West Bengal Govt. Scholarship Scheme
The West Bengal government offers the Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for students with family income up to Rs 2,50,000. Kanyashree-III is a sub-scheme providing scholarships for girls pursuing postgraduate courses in the state.
Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme
- To assist the meritorious students having annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000/- in the State of West Bengal for pursuing higher studies.
- To give scholarships at different levels of higher studies, at educational institutions based in West Bengal.
Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship – Eligibility
- Minimum 60% marks in the last qualifying exam for Higher Secondary or Undergraduate courses.
- For Postgraduate (General courses), at least 53% marks in Honours subject are required.
- For Postgraduate (Engineering courses), minimum 55% marks in Graduation are required.
- Annual family income must be less than Rs 2,50,000.
- Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal.
- Candidate should not be receiving any other government scholarship.

The Neotia University has separate housing for male and female students. There are 3 boy’s hostels, each accommodating more than 1,000 students, and 1 girl’s hostel with a capacity of over 550 students.
