The college offers courses in mainly three streams, Science, Commerce, and, Humanities. These are offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Three scholarships amounting to Rs 1400 each are awarded to the undergraduate students who get the highest marks in their respective courses.
This scholarship is for the students who have secured the highest marks in their respective courses in the 2nd year examinations. Rs 700 are provided for a visually impaired student.Rs 1100 are provided for the Humanities, Science, and Commerce streams.
The students who score the highest marks in the second year of BA (H) Political Science are awarded this scholarship. A cash reward of Rs 1100 is provided to the deserving student.
The University of Delhi conducts a competitive examination in the month of October each year for this. A sum of Rs 250 is awarded for 3 years on a monthly basis.
The students who score the highest marks in B.Sc (Botany) in the 4th and 5th semester are awarded this scholarship. Students are given an amount of Rs 500 each. This scholarship is named after a faculty member who provided her services for a long duration.

A.1 The registration for DUET 2022 was completed on June 30, 2022, by the University of Delhi. The candidates who had registered for the same will now be appearing for the exam on October 17, 18, 19, 20, and, 21, 2022, in a subject-wise manner.
A.2 The official dates for the DUET PG exam are October 17, 18, 19, 20, and, 21, 2022. The exam will be conducted in a subject-wise manner on these dates.
A.3 For postgraduate admissions to Zakir Husain College, students will have to clear the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET). The DUET 2022 will be held from October 17, 2022, to October 21, 2022.
A.4 The subject-wise syllabus will vary for each subject. However, the aspiring candidates must thoroughly prepare sections like General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Analytical Abilities, and Communication skills in Hindi and English for the DUET 2022.
