‘The Czech Republic,’ also referred to as Czechia, is one of the highly developed and safest places in Europe. It is bordered by Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovakia in central Europe. The capital city of Czechia is ‘Prague’ which is the heart of the historic culture of the country. Most of the foreign population of the country is clustered in Prague.

The Czech Republic is a country that attracts a large number of people from across the world for higher education, tourism and jobs. It is recognised as a beautiful and peaceful country to study, work and live. The Czech Republic is one of the safest places for a living. In fact, it is considered as the seventh safest country in the world. More than 5 Lakhs residents of the Czech Republic are foreign-born and around 2 Lakhs of them stay in Prague. 

Czechs are known to be highly educated people with more than 90% of the population having at least secondary education. Czech Republic is known to have a stable economy and thus people staying in the country experience a standard quality of life. The country also has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe. 

The country has some of the oldest and top-class universities of the world. The Charles University in Prague is the oldest university in Central Europe which was founded in 1348. Apart from this, it has 10 universities which are ranked in the list of top 1000 universities of the world. like Charles University, University of Chemistry and Technology- Prague, Czech Technical University in Prague, Masaryk University to name a few. 

A number of international students aspire to study in one of these universities to earn a quality education and future benefits in the country. While the Indian student population in The Czech Republic is around 150 in current times, the number is likely to increase in the near future. In Fact, in recent times, the Czech Republic is seen to be in agreement with India to provide scholarships to students enrolled in graduate or postgraduate studies.

The standard of living and stay in the Czech Republic is affordable compared to other European countries. Infact, Czech Republic has the highest standard of living of any former Soviet Bloc country. The average salary in Czech Republic is around 26,000 CZK per month. 

Some of the famous international companies like Deloitte Touche, Zara, Bata and Skoda are established in the Czech Republic offering a large number of employment opportunities to people. The firms and companies follow a standard average working hours and holidays for employees making the life of people flexible and easy going.
