IIT Madras Placements 2023 - Average & Highest Package, Percentage

The IIT Madras placements 2023 report has been recently released on the official website. The IIT Madras highest package was Rs 1.31 CPA, and the average package was reported to be between Rs 10 to 15 LPA. During the placement drive, there were 1722 participants, and 1612 of them received job offers from over 480 companies. Out of these students, 407 were able to secure pre-placement offers, and 25 students received salary packages above Rs 1.31 crore per annum (CPA). However, the IIT Madras average package this year is significantly lower than the previous year's trends. Furthermore, four students received the highest package offer from international companies during the IIT Madras placements 2023. Several well-known companies, such as Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Cetak Ltd, Qualcomm, Amazon, EY India, Reliance, and TCS participated in the placements at IIT Madras.

Placement Process at IIT Madras

STEP 1: Registration

The IIT Madras training and placement cell sends invitations to companies. Interested companies need to register themselves through the IIT Madras placement office online portal.

STEP 2: Employer Registration Form

To register, companies need to fill in the Employer Registration Form or ERF with the relevant details.

STEP 3: Portal Visibility to Students

After registration, companies can now get access to the resumes submitted by the students through the online portal. During this stage, pre-placement talks are held on the IIM Madras campus.

STEP 4: Test Procedure

At this stage, students need to appear for the written and online tests conducted by the company.

STEP 5: Slotting for Interview

After all the necessary tests are done, campus interview dates are decided by the IITM internal date allotment committee.

STEP 6: Interview Procedure

At the placement interviews companies are required to submit the number of selected students to the placement office by the end of each slot. Companies can also submit a waitlist if desired. Offer letters are to be sent to the placement office before the end of March.
