The Government of Delhi on June 14 started a special vaccination drive for Indian people and athletes flying abroad for studies or work, Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia announced in New Delhi. According to the officials, this facility will be available until August 31.
He also announced that those who fall under this category can get their second Covishield jab at the Navyug School on Mandir Marg after a gap of only 28 days.
In order to avail of this facility, individuals will have to carry their passports and applicable travel documents.

The officials added that the second dose can be taken within a gap of 28 to 84 days only by students who are travelling abroad for higher education, people taking up jobs abroad and sports persons, athletes and accompanying staff participating in the International Olympics in Tokyo.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recently relaxed the gap between two Covishield shots for people travelling abroad for higher studies, work or the Olympics. All the Indian states were asked to abide by the same guidelines.

Earlier in May 2021, the Indian Ministry of Health announced that the gap between Covishield shots should be extended. Citizens were urged to get the second jab only after 84 days of the first Covishield dose.
