ANGRAU University Admission 2024 for UG Programs

Some of the important pointers related to the ANGRAU University admission for UG programs are mentioned below:

•  Through undergraduate programs admission would be conducted in courses such as for BSC (H) Agriculture, BSc (H) Horticulture, BTECH (Food Technology), BFSC, and BVSC, etc.

However, candidates should be aware that in order to be admitted to courses such as the BVSC (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry), they must obtain a minimum of 50% in the qualifying exam and pass the AP EAMCET. • For most of the postgraduate courses admission process will be based on merit.

ANGRAU Admission 2024 Important Pointers 

Some of the important pointers regarding admission to ANGRAU are listed below:

• The entrance test conducted by the university, would be given 50% weightage, in terms of marks
• A candidate’s marks scored at the Masters level would be given a weightage of 30%.
• A candidate’s marks scored at the undergraduate level would be given a weightage of 10%.
• Marks scored in the personal interview conducted by the university would be given a weightage of 10%.
• A minimum of 50% qualifying marks would be required in the entrance except for SC/ST/OBC candidates for whom there are no minimum marks required

ANGRAU Application Process 2024

Candidates interested in pursuing admission to university are required to fill in the application process in an offline mode. The steps to apply for the same are as follows:

• Candidates would need to visit the official website of the university and click on Exams/ Results/ Admissions button.
• Candidates would need to click on the tab with PG Admission Notification for those interested in going for PG and PhD programs.
• Candidates would be guided to a new page where a link for application form for the desired course would be provided.
• From here the candidates would need to download the form and fill the same.
• Separate application forms would need to be filled for each course. 
• Candidates would need to send the duly filled application form to the university along with a DD for INR 1200/- for General and INR 600/- for SC, ST & PH categories (M.Sc. / Ph.D. courses) for each course in favor of  SBH / SBI / ANDHRA BANK and drawn in favor of The Comptroller, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, payable at Guntur.
• Alongside the application form candidates should also remember to send the relevant copies of certificates as well.

ANGRAU UG Admissions 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University offers four Under Graduate courses. The eligibility criteria for these UG courses are detailed in the table given below.

 ANGRAU UG Admission Application Process 2024

The Acharya N.G Ranga Agriculture UG admission form will be available soon. After the AP EAPCET exam results are released, the ANGRAU 2022 application process will begin. Candidates must have taken and passed the AP EAPCET in order to fill out the ANGRAU 2024 application form. Candidates must register for the counselling process and may be required to upload documents. The procedure for filling out the application form for the counselling process is outlined below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of ANGRAU at https://angrau.ac.in/

Step 2: Complete the registration process by entering AP EAPCET Registration Number, AP EAPCET Hall Ticket Number, AP EAPCET Rank Card and Date of Birth, and other details.

Step 3: Click on the option called ‘Generate Password’ in order to create a password.

Step 4: Log in with the Registration Number and Password to exercise web options.

Step 5: Pay the registration fee online.

ANGRAU Admission Procedure 2024

Candidates seeking admission in ANGRAU must appear for AP EAPCET 2024 and qualify in the examination. Qualifying in the AP EAPCET exam does not merely confirm the admission but the candidates must be eligible as per the rules eligibility criteria set by the University. The selection of candidates for all the vacant seats of the university into different courses will be filled on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in AP EAPCET 2024. The candidates will be selected based on merit, region, and social status. State Level rank only is considered. In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the AP EAPCET 2024, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration. In case of a further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration. 

ANGRAU Counselling Process 2024

Candidates who would like to take admission in ANGRAU in different UG programmes must have appeared and qualified in AP EAPCET 2024. Candidates who have the minimum qualifying marks and have a valid rank card can appear for the counselling process. The counselling process will be conducted by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University on specified dates.  In order to take part in the counselling process, candidates must fill in the registration form and pay the required fee. The seat allotment will be done based on their rank and web options exercised by them.

ANGRAU offers three diploma courses in agriculture, seed technology and organic farming. Given below are the details of the diplomas offered by ANGRAU.

Candidates who appeared in SSC or equivalent examination held in May-2024, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for AGRI POLYCET- 2024. Candidates who have passed SSC in compartmental and who have either discontinued or failed in intermediate are also eligible to apply for AGRIPOLYCET -2024. ANGRAU Diploma Admission Procedure 2024

The admission process for the Diploma courses is explained below. 

• In order to qualify in AGRI POLYCET 2024, a candidate must secure at least 25% of marks i.e. 30 marks out of 120 marks.  
• No minimum marks for the SC and ST candidates are stipulated.
• The marks obtained by the candidates at the entrance test will be considered for and utilized for assigning ranks.
• Ranks will be given to the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in AGRI POLYCET-2024 conducted by ANGRAU.
• In case of a tie in entrance test rank, marks obtained in Natural Science, Mathematics and Physical Science subjects shall be considered for resolving the tie.
• The results are likely to be declared within 10 days from the date of the entrance test.
•  Rank cards of AGRI POLYCET can also be downloaded on the same day of the declaration of results.
• The selection of the candidates for the diploma courses depends on the marks secured by the candidates in AGRI POLY CET.
• A separate notification will be issued by the University for the Counselling Process.

ANGRAU Diploma Counselling Procedure 2024

The counselling procedure of Diploma courses of ANGRAU is provided here. 

• After the results of AGRI POLYCET, the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University will issue a notification for the counselling process.
• Candidates who have registered appeared and qualified in AGRI POLYCET are eligible for the counselling registration process.

ANGRAU PG & PhD Admissions Procedure 2024

Candidates, who would like to take admission into Master`s and Doctoral courses in ANGRAU, must have appeared for in AIEEA PG and AICE (All India Competitive Examination). The admission process depends also on the previous academic performance of the candidates. The selection process for master's programmes will be based on the previous academic record at the Under Graduate level and performance in AIEEA (ICAR) test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70.

The selection process for the Doctorial Programme depends on the previous academic record at the Under Graduate level, Post Graduate level, AICE (ICAR) test, and interview and in the ratio of 10:30:50:10.
