Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is one of the topmost agricultural universities of India. The University offers 4 undergraduate, 22 postgraduate and 16 Ph.D programmes. Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University UG admissions are based on AP EAMCET exam rank. PG and Ph.D admissions of the university are based on AIIEE PG, AICE JRF/SRF conducted by ICAR. The University does not conduct entrance exams for UG and PG courses but accepts the ranks secured by the candidates in AP EAPCET (formerly known as AP EAMCET) which is conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Government and ICAR AIIEA PG exams. ANGRAU 2023 application process is expected to start in the month of April 2023. Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University is one of the premier agricultural universities in the country. The University was known as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University.  It was established in the year 1964 through the APAU Act. The varsity was renamed Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University in honour and memory of the well-known Parliamentarian and Kisan Leader Acharya N.G. Ranga in the year 1966. ANGRAU has four UG courses, 16 doctoral, 22 PG and four diploma courses in the domain of agricultural engineering. BSc, B.Tech, MBA, MSc, M.Tech, PhD are the degrees the university offers for its agricultural candidates. Apart from that, it has opened Distance Learning facility as well.

 ANGRAU UG Admission Application Process 2023

The admission form of Acharya N.G Ranga Agriculture UG admission will be out very soon. The application process of ANGRAU 2022 will commence after the AP EAPCET exam results are out. To fill in the application form of ANGRAU 2023, candidates must have appeared for AP EAPCET and qualified in the exam. Candidates will have to register for the counselling process and may have to upload some documents.  The step by step by process to fill in the application form for the counselling process is given below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of ANGRAU at https://angrau.ac.in/

Step 2: Complete the registration process by entering AP EAPCET Registration Number, AP EAPCET Hall Ticket Number, AP EAPCET Rank Card and Date of Birth, and other details.

Step 3: Click on the option called ‘Generate Password’ in order to create a password.

Step 4: Log in with the Registration Number and Password to exercise web options.

Step 5: Pay the registration fee online.

 Step 6: Regularly visit the official website and login in to check the seat allotment.

ANGRAU Admission Procedure 2023

Candidates seeking admission in ANGRAU must appear for AP EAPCET 2023 and qualify in the examination. Qualifying in the AP EAPCET exam does not merely confirm the admission but the candidates must be eligible as per the rules eligibility criteria set by the University. The selection of candidates for all the vacant seats of the university into different courses will be filled on the basis of ranks obtained by the candidates in AP EAPCET 2023. The candidates will be selected based on merit, region, and social status. State Level rank only is considered. In case of a tie in ranks obtained by two or more candidates in the AP EAPCET 2023, the marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination shall be taken into consideration. In case of a further tie, the age of the candidate shall be taken into consideration. 

 ANGRAU Counselling Process 2023

Candidates who would like to take admission in ANGRAU in different UG programmes must have appeared and qualified in AP EAPCET 2023. Candidates who have the minimum qualifying marks and have a valid rank card can appear for the counselling process. The counselling process will be conducted by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University on specified dates.  In order to take part in the counselling process, candidates must fill in the registration form and pay the required fee. The seat allotment will be done based on their rank and web options exercised by them.

Diploma Courses offered by ANGRAU 2023

ANGRAU offers three diploma courses in agriculture, seed technology and organic farming. Given below are the details of the diplomas offered by ANGRAU.

ANGRAU Diploma Admission Procedure 2023

The admission process for the Diploma courses is explained below. 

• In order to qualify in AGRI POLYCET 2023, a candidate must secure at least 25% of marks i.e. 30 marks out of 120 marks.  
• No minimum marks for the SC and ST candidates are stipulated.
• The marks obtained by the candidates at the entrance test will be considered for and utilized for assigning ranks.
• Ranks will be given to the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in AGRI POLYCET-2023 conducted by ANGRAU.
• In case of a tie in entrance test rank, marks obtained in Natural Science, Mathematics and Physical Science subjects shall be considered for resolving the tie.
• The results are likely to be declared within 10 days from the date of the entrance test.
•  Rank cards of AGRI POLYCET can also be downloaded on the same day of the declaration of results.
• The selection of the candidates for the diploma courses depends on the marks secured by the candidates in AGRI POLY CET.
• A separate notification will be issued by the University for the Counselling Process.

ANGRAU Diploma Counselling Procedure 2023

• After the results of AGRI POLYCET, the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University will issue a notification for the counselling process.
• Candidates who have registered appeared and qualified in AGRI POLYCET are eligible for the counselling registration process.
• The counselling will be conducted online.
• After the counselling process, candidates can pay fee and attend the regular classes.

ANGRAU PG & PhD Admissions Procedure 2023

Candidates, who would like to take admission into Master`s and Doctoral courses in ANGRAU, must have appeared for in AIEEA PG and AICE (All India Competitive Examination). The admission process depends also on the previous academic performance of the candidates. The selection process for master's programmes will be based on the previous academic record at the Under Graduate level and performance in AIEEA (ICAR) test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70.

The selection process for the Doctorial Programme depends on the previous academic record at the Under Graduate level, Post Graduate level, AICE (ICAR) test, and interview and in the ratio of 10:30:50:10.
