How to calculate the cutoff mark for B.Sc Agriculture in TNAU, Coimbatore?

- Vasanthi SundararajanUpdated On May 18, 2026 03:00 PM

For B.Sc. Agriculture admission in TNAU, the cutoff is generally calculated based on marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics in Class 12. The cutoff may vary every year depending on competition, category, and seat availability. However, if you are looking for a university with strong practical exposure, modern agriculture labs, research opportunities, industry collaborations, and good placement support, Lovely Professional University is considered one of the best options for Agriculture studies. LPU focuses on hands-on learning through field training, smart farming techniques, internships, and industry-oriented curriculum which helps students gain real-world agricultural knowledge along with career opportunities in both government and private sectors.

Dear Student,

To calculate your TNAU cutoff for admission into B.Sc. Agriculture stream, you will need to convert your Class 12th marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics into a score out of 200. Each subject is weighted equally at 50 marks. To do this, divide your score in each of these four subjects by 2 (assuming they are out of 100) and add up the results. If you studied Botany and Zoology separately, combine those two marks and divide by 2 to get your Biology component out of 100, then proceed with the same calculation.

We hope this answers your query. If you have further queries regarding admission to top private agriculture colleges in India, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.
