CBSE Class 12 Biology Answer Key 2026 has been released. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Biology on March 27, 2026. The exam was held in a single shift, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. We have released an unofficial answer key here for Section A (MCQs) of CBSE Class 12 Biology. To pass the CBSE 12th exam along with the subject, you must get a minimum of 33% marks in aggregate marks as per the CBSE Class 12 Passing Marks 2026 . The 3-hour Biology paper contains 33 questions, where all questions are compulsory with some internal choices. Section A has multiple-choice type questions, which are all compulsory. CBSE Class 12 Biology Question Paper Pattern 2026

You can check out the latest CBSE Class 12 Biology Question Paper Pattern for the academic session 2025-2026 as pointed out below:
  • The CBSE Class 12 Biology theory exam is for 70 marks, and 30 marks are for the practical exam.
  • The 70-mark theory paper is conducted for 3 hours, during which 15 minutes are given for reading the question paper.
  • A total of 33 questions are there in the CBSE Class 12 Biology question paper.
  • Question paper comprises 5 sections - Section A, B, C, D, and E.
  • There is no overall choice. However, internal choices have been provided in some questions.
  • Section A contains question numbers 1 to 16 that are multiple-choice type questions. Each question carries 1 mark.
  • In Section B, question numbers 17 to 21 are very short-answer type questions. Each question carries 2 marks.
  • In Section C, question numbers 22 to 28 are short-answer type questions. Each question carries 3 marks.
  • In Section D, question numbers 29 and 30 are case-based questions. Each question carries 4 marks.
  • In Section D, each question has subparts with an internal choice in one of the subparts.
  • Section E has question numbers 31 to 33 that are long-answer type questions. Each question carries 5 marks.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 in May 2026. You can find the results on the official website. If you are unable to check the result online, then you can use the SMS service. The result will have important information regarding the total number of marks that you have obtained in the different subjects, along with the grades that you have achieved in them. CBSE has decided not to release any percentage or ranks to avoid unfair competition between peers. You can get the marksheet from your respective school premises after a few days of the result declaration.
