CBSE Class 12 Political Science Question Paper Blueprint 2026
The theory question paper will be conducted for 80 marks in Political Science. You can refer to the detailed question paper pattern from the pointers given here:
- The question paper consists of five sections (A, B, C, D, and E) with 30 questions in total.
- It is compulsory to answer all the questions.
- Question numbers 1 to 12 will be multiple-choice questions of one mark each.
- Question numbers 13 to 18 will be very short answer-type questions of 2 marks each. Answers to these questions should not exceed 50-60 words each.
- Questions 19 to 23 will be long-answer type questions for 4 marks each. Answers to these questions should not exceed 100-120 words each. There are internal choices in two of the 4-mark questions
- Questions 24 to 26 are picture, map, and passage-based questions.
- Questions 27 to 30 are very long answer-type questions for 6 marks each. Answers to these questions should not exceed 170-180 words.
- There are internal choices in all the very long answer-type questions (6 marks).
