Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture admission process for the academic session 2020-21 will begin soon. MHT CET score is mandatory for state quota admission while ICAR AIEEA is mandatory for AIQ admission.

Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture Admission 2020 - The B.Sc Agriculture admission in Maharashtra for the academic session 2020-21 will begin soon. The admission process will begin after the announcement of MHT CET results.  The Online Admission Process for B.Sc Agriculture in Maharashtra is managed by the Kalp Technologies Private Limited (KTPL), Pune & approved by the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER). Eligible candidates are considered for admission in Government, Government Aided and Unaided private professional educational institutions in Maharashtra. Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture/ Horticulture / Forestry Admission 2020

Following are the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Sc courses in Agriculture:

  • The minimum age of the candidate to apply for B.Sc courses must be 16 years at the time of application.

  • The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Class XII (General category). SC/ ST/ Handicapped must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the Intermediate studies.

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 in PCM or PCMB and English from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education or equivalent exam.

B. Sc. (Honours) Agriculture/ B. Sc. (Honours) Horticulture Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria to apply for B.Sc Hons. Agriculture and B.Sc Hons. Horticulture courses at Maharashtra Agriculture Institutes:

  • The candidate must have passed Class XII from Maharashtra State Board or any other recognized board.

  • The candidate must be from the Science stream. Candidates who have studied PCB/ PCM/ PCBM or Agriculture in the Intermediate studies with English as one of the main subjects are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates who have not studied Biology or Mathematics in Class XII will have to complete deficiency courses as defined by the respective University.

  • The candidate must pass a Common Entrance Test like AIEEA-UG or MHT-CET in the academic year in PCB or PCM subjects. The scorecard of the Common Entrance Test is considered for admission to the UG Agriculture course in Maharashtra.

B. Sc. (Honours) Forestry Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria to apply for B.Sc Hons. Forestry courses at Maharashtra Agriculture Institutes:

  • The candidate must have passed Class XII from Maharashtra State Board or any other recognised board.

  • The candidate must be from the Science stream. Candidates who have studied PCB/ PCBM or Agriculture in the Intermediate studies with English as one of the main subjects are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates who have not studied Mathematics in Class XII will have to complete deficiency courses as defined by the respective University.

  • The candidate must appear in a Common Entrance Test like AIEEA-UG or MHT-CET in the academic year in PCB subjects. The scorecard of the Common Entrance Test is considered for admission to the UG Agriculture course in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry Application Form 2020

Following are the step by step procedure to fill in the online application form for Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry courses:

Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form

Candidates must visit the official website of Maharashtra Agriculture Admission (maha-Agriadmission.in) to fill in the online application form. A candidate can fill in only one application at a time. In case, two applications are submitted, the application that is submitted last will be considered invalid.

All applications will be accepted in online mode only. No application through postal mail will be accepted.

Candidates who are applying through the Institute Quota or Minority Quota must also fill in the online application form and upload the required documents.

Step 2: Upload the Required Documents

The candidates will have to upload the required documents after filling the application form. The candidates who scan their documents via M/S. KTPL, Pune centers will have to pay 5rs. per documents for scanning. Following are the documents that must be uploaded with the application form:

  • Scanned copy of candidate's signature

  • Scanned copy of the passport-sized photograph

  • Original copy of necessary academic documents

Step 3: Application Fees

There is no application fee to apply online for Maharashtra B.Sc. Agricultural courses. However, the candidates who have not appeared in MHT-CET for the academic year will have to pay an application fee of INR 800/-. (600/- for reserved & handicapped) through an online payment gateway.

Documents Required

Candidates must log in on the official website and upload the following documents:

  • Marksheet of Qualifying examination. If the percentage obtained in Class XII is not mentioned in the documents then it must be signed by the Principle of the College.

  • Scorecard of Common Entrance Test

  • Class X Marksheet

  • School/College Leaving certificate

  • Candidates who are already studying at Agricultural University in Maharashtra must submit a Bonafide Certificate.

  • Migration Certificate, in case a candidate from another State is not able to produce a Leaving Certificate.

  • Domicile Certificate, mentioning the birthplace from Maharashtra State or other State

  • Caste validity certificate, if applicable

  • Certificate of Games/Sports/Debate / Essay/ Elocution issued by the District Sports Officer, if applicable

Maharashtra B.Sc Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry Admission Procedure 2020

Admission for Maharashtra B.Sc courses is conducted by Kalp Technologies Private Limited (KTPL), Pune. The merit for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the examination authority will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in PCM/PCB and other weightage.

In case a candidate appeared in more than one examination then the maximum marks obtained in the common entrance examination or group will be considered for admission.

According to Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeth) Act 1983, Article 5, candidates applying for undergraduate Agriculture courses in the States of Maharashtra must meet the following conditions:

  • The candidate’s parents must be residing in the Maharashtra State for at least 3 years in the last 10 years.

  • Candidates whose parents are residing in the state for less than 3 years will be considered as Out State candidates. 2% of the total seats are reserved for such candidates.

Admission is considered on the basis of a merit list. The merit list of candidates is published on the official website.

Maharashtra B.Sc Agricultural Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2020

Based on the merit list prepared, candidates must attend the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission in undergraduate Agriculture courses at Maharashtra Agricultural Institutes.

There are three options that a candidate can opt for before accepting the seat allotment through CAP. Check details here:

Freeze option allows candidates to accept the seat allotted to them. After selecting the freeze option, candidates cannot appear in further rounds of the counseling process.

Float option allows candidates to accept an offer in the Institute. However, Later on, if a seat is allotted in a higher institution, the candidate can accept the new offer.

Refuse option allows the candidates to refuse the allotted seat if they are not happy with the seat allotment. Such candidates will be eligible for the next round allotment after refusing the option.

Once a seat is allotted to the candidate, He/ She must visit the concerned college for document verification. The candidate must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/-. to lock their allotted seats after the document verification. Payment can be done online.

Once the admission is confirmed through the CAP counseling process, the candidate must visit the allotted institute to verify the original documents. The candidate must pay the semester fee for the institute and collect the receipt of payment of fees from the Institute to complete the admission process.

List Of Documents Required for Admission

Following are the important documents that must be carried at the allotted college for seat allotment confirmation:

  • Candidates must carry with them the Printed copy of the provisional admission allotment letter to confirm the seat at the allotted Institute. It can be downloaded by login to the official website.

  • Domicile Certificate

  • MHT-CET/ AIEEA-UG common entrance examination Scorecard

  • Class X and XII mark sheet

  • College Leaving/Transfer Certificate/ Bonafide Certificate

  • Caste Validity certificate, if applicable

  • Certificate of Physically Handicapped (PH), if applicable
