SSC CGL Single Shift Exam 2025: Check Latest Reforms

SSC CGL Exam 2025: The SSC Chairman, S Gopalakrishnan, has introduced some significant changes this year in the SSC CGL Exam . The students faced a lot of issues such as technical glitches, non-working computers, delay in the Aadhaar verification etc, in their last SSC exam held, and they protested against it. Thus, the Staff Selection Commission made some important and required changes for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam, which is to be held in the first week of September 2025, to resolve the issues. SSC CGL Exam 2025 Latest Reforms

The major changes that have been made in SSC CGL Exam 2025 are mentioned below

• The exam will be held in a single shift,
• The centres will be allocated within a 100 km radius,
• The evaluation system will also be taken care of, and the four agencies have been assigned to make the exam process smoother. Also, the normalisation process will be done shift-wise now.
• Aadhaar verification is made compulsory.

These measures and changes are taken to make the SSC CGL Exam easier, fair, and unbiased for the students.

Aadhaar Verification Mandatory for SSC CGL Exam 2025

Earlier, the students had to face a lot of problems in Aadhaar verification. Due to this, the SSC chairman has made Aadhaar verification compulsory from filling out the application form till the joining time. The process has been made smoother and stabilised. Also, new systems and infrastructure will be used in the coming SSC CGL Exam.

SSC CGL Exam 2025 in CBT Mode

It has been made clear by the SSC Chairman that there will be no return to pen-paper mode for the exam. Across India, the SSC exam is being taken by crores of students. The offline mode will encourage students to cheat and use unfair means. Thus, to decrease the risk of leaks, malpractices and postponements,the SSC Exam will be conducted in CBT mode only.

SSC CGL Exam Centres within 100 km Range

As per the reports, the students were allocated the SSC Exam centres almost 500 km away from their places, and they had to struggle a lot to reach the exam centres. This time, the SSC chairman had made it very clear that 80% - 90 % of the students will be allocated the SSC CGL Exam centres of their choice. SSC Exam centres distance will not exceed to 100 kms radius.

SSC CGL 2025 latest reforms are being implemented for the upcoming exam, and the chairman has assured that the students will have a good experience this time. Almost 2 crore students sit for the SSC exam every year, leading to 1.5 lakhs recruited.
