In order to fill non-technical Class III (now Group 'C') positions in various Ministries and government departments, the Staff Selection Commission, formerly known as the Subordinate Services Commission, was established in September 1977. SSC's primary objective was to fill all Class III and Class IV category positions because they make up the majority of the workforce in both the Central and State Governments.

Currently, the Commission holds exams and interviews for Group 'B' and 'C' SSC posts after the 12th grade, including those for Assistants, Sub-Inspectors, Divisional Accountants, Junior Engineers, Lower Division Clerks, Stenographers, etc. These positions are both technical and non-technical. Moreover, the salary scale for various SSC positions is on the basis of the most recent 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which was set up by the GOI.

3. SSC MTS

SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria: Education Qualification

Candidates must meet SSC MTS educational requirements in order to prevent their applications from being rejected. • For MTS in CBN (Department of Revenue), candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 25 (born before January 1, 1997, and no later than January 1, 2004, respectively).

The SSC MTS 2023 Tier 1 Exam is set to be administered nationwide in several shifts from May 2 to May 19, 2023, and June 13 - June 20, 2023, according to the SSC Calendar 2023. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the SSC MTS Exam Date 2023. Following the conclusion of the phase 2 exam, the Commission is anticipated to release the SSC MTS 2023 answer key (tentative). Phase 2 of the SSC MTS Exam will be held from June 13 to June 20. SSC GD Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

The SSC GD Age Limit has been determined by the authorities for various categories. The SSC GD age limit is established in accordance with SSC standards based on the various employment responsibilities. The minimum and maximum age requirements for SSC GD are typically 18 and 23 years old, respectively, at the time of application. The revised SSC GD PET/PST Exam Date 2023 was made available by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on April 11, 2023. Candidates who passed the written exam are required to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), which began on April 24, 2023.
