The Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) has announced the admission dates for 2019 M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD admissions in the constituent colleges of the university. The dates have been notified in the official Brochure of 2019-2020 admission season of Postgraduate (PG) Courses. However, the university reserves the rights to change the dates under any unavoidable circumstances.

The application portal has been made available in the official web portal of the university from 5th September 2019. The other dates of the 2019 admission-related events in TNJFU are as follows,

How to Apply for M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD Courses at TNJFU 2019?

The application form for TNJFU 2019 admissions in M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD courses are made available online. The candidate has to download the application form and fill it after taking a print out. The step-by-step application process for the 2019 admissions in PG Courses of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) are as followings,

  • The candidate will first have to visit the official site of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) which is www.tnjfu.ac.in

  • There, there will be an option named ‘PG Admission.’

  • Then, the candidate will have to click on Apply Online

  • A form will be opened. The candidate has to fill the application credentials as aksed and upload the passport size photo

  • After that, the candidate has to save the application and he/she will receive the id and password by e-mail.

  • The candidate has to log-in with the id and password and upload the required documents

  • After that, the candidates will have to pay the prescribed fees online (credit card/debit card/net banking) methods.

There are separate payment amount fixed by the university. The 2019 application fees of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) for PG courses (M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD). Following is the category based application fees:

  • Application Fees for ST/SC Category: 500/- rupees

  • Application Fees for All Other Categories: 1000/- rupees

A set of documents are required to be uploaded for the admission, the application process for Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD courses. TNJFU M.F.Sc Admission 2019

M.F.Sc or Masters of Fishery Science is a post-graduate course on fishery and its various methods. The predecessor of the course is B.F.Sc (Bachelors of Fishery Sciences). The various specialisations offered under M.F.Sc include:

TNJFU M.F.Sc Eligibility Criteria 2019

  • The student will have to graduate with B.F.Sc degree from any UGC recognised private, state or central government college affiliated by ICAR

  • The candidates have to sit in the entrance test conducted separately for M.F.Sc admissions in Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU).

  • There will be a certain percentage of quota for only Tamil Nadu Students in M.F.Sc course of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU). Students from other states cannot apply in the quota.

  • Only unfilled seats will be transferred to all India Quota

  • The candidate who has not studied B.F.Sc from Tamil Nadu will have to produce the domicile certificate

  • Candidates who have passed with 65% in bachelors level or has 2.75 out of 4.00 OGPA or has 6.5 out of 10 CGPA are considered eligible to apply. (Only for General/Unreserved Candidates)

  • For SC/ST Candidates, a minimum pass marks in required for applying

  • Candidates who have left the M.F.Sc Course from Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) midway will not be counted eligible for applying

TNJFU M.Tech Admission 2019

The admission for 2019 TNJFU M.Tech course in Fisheries specialisation will begin along the same lines with other postgraduates (PG) level course admission as notified in the official notification released by Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU). The M.Tech Fisheries Specialisations in TNJFU are as follows:

  • M.Tech. in Aquaculture Engineering
  • M.Tech. in Fish Processing Engineering

TNJFU M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2019:

  • The student will have to graduate with B.Tech (Fishery) degree from any UGC recognised private, state or central government college affiliated by ICAR

  • The candidates have to sit in the entrance test conducted separately for M.Tech admissions in Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU).

  • There will be a certain percentage of quota for only Tamil Nadu Students in M.Tech course of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU). Students from other states cannot apply in the quota.

The doctoral-level research course of PhD which is available to take up after the completion of Masters level (M.F.Sc and M.Tech) is available in Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU). The 2019 PhD admissions in Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) will take admission for researchers for development in the fisheries industry.

The selection process of the Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) M.F.Sc, M.Tech and PhD courses will be totally on the basis of merit. For M.F.Sc and M.Tech courses, Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) will release a merit list as per the performance in the entrance test. If his/her name is on the merit list then that person can directly appear for document verification and admissions in 2019-2020 session. Based on the above criteria, the student who scores the most will be given priority for Masters Level admissions in M.F.Sc and M.Tech. For PhD admissions, a Personal Interview (PI) session will be held and the candidates will be given admission on the basis of performance in the PI round.
