    How to Prepare for NIFT Situation Test 2023

    NIFT Situation Test 2023 will be held in the month of April, 2023 as per the official notification. The dates have been announced on the official website of NIFT at niftadmission.in. The situation test will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify in the written test (CAT and GAT). The NIFT Situation Test is conducted only for admission to the BDes course. It is essential to perform well in the Situation Test of the NIFT Entrance Exam as it is a major deciding factor for a candidate's admission. The final NIFT 2023 result is expected to be declared in the month of May 2023. 

    Performing well in the NIFT 2023 Situation Test is extremely important as it is a major deciding factor for the candidate's admission because the NIFT Situation Test 2023 carries 20% weightage in the final result.     NIFT 2023 

    NIFT 2023 exam is scheduled to be held on February 05, 2023. National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFTs) admission is done through a design entrance test held in several rounds. NIFT is among the premier design institutes of India and conducts its individual design entrance exam for selecting candidates for its several UG and PG programmes. The admission through NIFT Entrance Exam is a three-tier process. Aspirants have to appear for the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) which is followed by the Situation Test.

    NIFT Entrance Exam is organised for admission to the design courses offered at all the campuses of NIFT. These programmes include Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech), Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech), and Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.).

    NIFT Situation Test 2023 Previous Year Questions

    National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts a three-phased entrance exam every year for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. After qualifying the NIFT Written Entrance Exam, once must take a Situation Test. On February 5, 2023, Sunday, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will hold written exams for NIFT Entrance Exam 2023. The written tests include the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Candidates who pass NIFT 2023 written test will be summoned to take the NIFT Situation Test 2023.

    NIFT Situation Test 2023 will be required of the candidates who pass both tests. In the NIFT Situation Test, the interviewer will assess the candidates' interpersonal abilities, communication skills, subject-matter expertise, approach to problem-solving, originality of ideas, and topic clarity. The candidate will be evaluated for the NIFT interview based on their general personality, subject knowledge, and skill.

    A situation test is conducted only for BDes courses to assess the candidates’ ability to handle various materials and use their creative skills to create a model in a given situation using a set of materials. The model will be judged on a number of factors such as innovative and creative use of given material, space visualization, construction skill, the finesse of the model, composition of elements, colour scheme, the overall presentation of the model, etc.

    The evaluation of the NIFT Situation Test will be done by the jury on the spot and the model will not be kept for future reference.     NIFT Situation Test 2022 was conducted for the students who qualified in the initial rounds by clearing NIFT CAT and NIFT GAT  examinations.     National Institute of Design (NID) Seat Intake and Reservation Details

    National Institute of Design (NID) is one of the most prestigious design institutes in the nation. The institute refreshes its reservation policy and seat matrix each year and updates them as per the requirement. In 2019, all the campuses of NID had 100 seats for the B.Des programme. However, in the year 2020, 28 more seats were added. Similarly, for the M.Des programme, the total number of seats increased from 275 to 347.     1. National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad

    NIFT Result 2023 has been released on March 10, 2023. NIFT 2023 entrance exam was held on 5th February. Those who have appeared for the written examination will be able to check their result by visiting the official website- nift.ac.in. The answer key for the exam has been released online by the authorities. As the result is declared, candidates can check it using their login credentials. Post NIFT Result 2023, candidates must participate in the situation test and interview.     NIFT Rank vs Campus: The National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Test is administered by NIFT once a year. A situation Test, followed by a personal interview, is mandatory for the qualified candidates to attend. The National Institute of Fashion Technology then announces the results. NIFT Merit lists will be published following the results announcement. Following the counselling procedure, the NIFT Common Merit Ranks will be released, based on which NIFT admission into various campuses will take place.

    Dear Student,

    Though the merit list and final result of NIFT were released on June 25, 2020, the cut-off and counselling process is still pending for NIFT, Chennai. The premier institute of design has not announced the dates for the rest of the schedule yet. The NIFT cut-off for B.Des is most likely to be out in July/August and candidates can check it online.

    To get a better grip of the B.Des admission through NIFT, take a look at seat matrix & reservation policy of NIFT. You are advised to be patient and keep visiting the NIFT cut-off and NIFT counselling process pages from time to time.
