Predict RankThe NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 cutoff is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates must secure to be eligible for admission to UG and PG programmes at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The cutoff is released after the declaration of results and varies for each NIFT campus, course, and category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.). The NIFT 2026 exam for Stage 1 has been conducted on February 8, 2026, and the final results will be made available by the second week of June 2026. It is determined based on factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of candidates appearing, available seats, and previous years’ trends. Checking the cutoff helps candidates assess their admission chances and plan for counselling and seat allotment accordingly. You can check the cutoff for previous year from the link provided here.

Applicants should keep in mind the following essential details regarding the NIFT 2026 cutoff:
Students who meet the requirements for the entrance exam will be informed of the NIFT 2026 cutoff.
The NIFT cutoff 2026 will be announced per the applicants' NIFT 2026 results. Those with the best scores will be ranked highest, while those with a poor score will be ranked lowest.
The NIFT 2026 cutoff will be determined by taking into account each applicant's ranks, categories, and marks.
Following the results, aspirants need to confirm the NIFT cutoff 2026 for all courses offered on each NIFT campus across the country.
The category entered by the applicant while filing out the application form will be considered final. The authority will not allow students to apply any modifications later during the admission process. Thus, if a student has selected a reserved category i.e., ST/ SC/ PWD/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS and failed to submit a valid category certificate, then they will be considered under the Open category and will be applied for the NIFT cutoff 2026 marks for Open category only.
If a reserved category student obtains higher or equivalent NIFT 2026 cutoff marks compared to the Open category, then they will first be offered Open seats, and thereafter, based on merit in their belonging category.
Based on merit, students will be admitted to each of the 18 NIFT campuses, which are spread across Shillong, Mumbai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Rae Bareli, Patna, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur, Chennai, Kannur, Kolkata, Kangra, New Delhi, Srinagar, and more.
If you intend to apply for NIFT in 2026, you should be aware of how the opening and closing ranks are computed. They determine how many candidates are eligible to take admission to a particular program, which is determined by the highest rank accepted for the program. In other words, the lowest rank that has been admitted to the same program is the closing rank. We will provide the NIFT 2026 cutoff once they are released.

When considering what is a good score in NIFT 2026, various factors apply. These are such as the courses you are applying for, how many seats are available, what category you fall into whether open or reserved and what institute you are applying to.
For instance, if you belong to the OPEN category, even scoring X marks might not secure you a seat. On the other hand, someone from a reserved category might easily gain admission with the same score due to relaxed cutoffs. So, you need to consider these variables at the time of assessing what would be a competitive NIFT 2026 score.
It is also worth noting that the NIFT admission cutoff is not fixed. It may vary according to the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, their merit ranks, and seat availability.
